@bbcburnsy 31s Looks like the Abel Hernandez deal to Hull City may have got to the work permit stage. #hcafc
Rhodes has scored 145 in 20,897 minutes Goal every 144.11 minutes Goal every 1.6 games That's very impressive
Getting very close. How long does it take to get the work permit? Are we looking at late tonight, or more tomorrow?
It's recent international appearances its done on, I think he has to have played 50% in the last two years or something like that. This will all obviously have been checked out before getting him over, no doubt he'll pass. Problem is these things take time, I'm not sure he'll be eligible by Sunday... Edit: he has to have played 75% of Uruguas competitive matches. Without checking I've no idea whether he has or not, but with Cavani and Suarez in front of him I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't.
Check out his wiki page now, where he is said to be "THE GREATEST STRIKER IN THE WORLD" and "deemed to be better than Shane Long". I doubt it will be there long.
Will we have to wait for international clearance? Remember WBA having to wait a few weeks recently, also took a while for us with Altidore. If so we could be looking at West Ham for his début
IIRC football in on the fast track list and looking at his international record it should be really rather quick.
Stats like that dont tell the complete story of course. The local striker here has a goal per 154 min of league play and a goal in every 72 min of international play.
Thank you, even more impressive when you consider he's played far more games than Hernandez. I have Rhodes down for 153 goals & Hernandez's 36 are only the goals he's scored for Palermo, he's scored 12 more previous to Palermo over 35 games. But I'm sure they're there or there abouts. Rhodes' record is far superior & consistent though.
One has scored goals against ac milan one has scored against bournmouth you cant compare like for like or rhodes would be playing at real madrid if it was just based on goals per game
It's difficult to compare really. Cavani had a similar goal-scoring record to Hernandez at Palermo and look at him now.
I bet he will be a massive hit, and come this time next year we will be fighting to keep him out the hands of the big boys of the Division

That's why I'm not too excited about this signing. Maybe I'm underwhelmed because I was a little overwhelmed at the thought of signing Rhodes.
