Don't quite know what to make of it.


Do I think he's a good addition in a position we're lacking? Yes.
Do I think he's better than our main two current CMs? Not quite.
Do I think he's worth "in excess of £5m"? Not at all.
Do I think he'll fit into our ethos and playstyle? Absolutely.

Overall, "lets see what happens" is my verdict.
 
If he was an integral part of the team when Martinez was in charge, we know for sure he can play with decent technical ability. Has played in all 4 of Wigans games this season scoring once so far.
Excellent addition in my opinion............ who's next..... a defender?
 
Im not sure what to make of this either. My main concern is why he wasn't snapped up by a prem club when Wigan got relegated last season :s

Think that's an easy one - Wigan did sell some players but still invested heavily (e.g Grant Holt) and expected to bounce straight back - they were pre-season favourites ... he's a very good combative midfield player and would definitely add to our overall quality not just depth ... we don't currently have anyone quite like him ..
 
Rob Tanner thinks our 2nd bid was actually rejected not accepted like Dave Whelan said

After Everton signed James McCarthy - their other CM - his price would have been treble this.
 
This transfer window is just plain crazy. Thank goodness we did some early business cos ever since the free signings, nothing has been easy. McArthur bid accepted - or no it isnt. Cambiasso will sign - no he wont - yes he will, errm well maybe. I've got a headache - God knows how Pearson and Robinson feel. The only decent thing to come out of this window over the last few weeks was Balloonheadgate. Gotta be in a song sometime. Over to you Fosse.
 
Cant wait for this damn transfer window to close. we can concentrate on the football then!!
 
Colin just can't be arsed to go through the laborious prospect of identifying targets for himself ... I'm still hopeful that he'll choose us before the stripey nigels ... the bright lights of London are, of course, a powerful distraction ... but Croydon is certainly NOT the Kings Road <laugh>
