I've been as far norf as Oldham, and thank **** for that. I've travelled a lot round nice countries though, I have absolutely no desire to visit the norf of the UK or any of the ****ty little countries that surround it.

And I see A History of Britain is on BBC4 tonight, presented by that left wing firebrand Simon Schama. I'll be wearing my Support The Miners '84 t-shirt while watching it.
The miners got what they deserved.

Useless fact of the day: the number of days lost to strikes fell from 29.5 million in 1979 when Thatcher took power, to 1.9 million in 1986.

After Thatch did her worse there was no **** in a job to go on strike.
