I think you and I have been in agreement for a while about Rhodes. He's the best striker outside the Premier League (In FL) and hopefully his uncle can help push it through.

If we're going to bid anything like £10m for a Championship striker, we should definitely be having a go at Rhodes ahead of anyone else.
I'd like him here as well but I just can't see it happening, last month he seemed to be blissfully happy at Ewood Park when he signed a 5 year contract.
Rhodes seems the best option at the moment. Any clue what Blackburn would want for him?
If they hear we get £12.5m for Long, they'll probably ask for about 14-15. They don't need to sell and they've got him tied to a long contract, i can't see it happening but I hope it does

Combined with the fact Blackburn are in a position to compete for promotion for the first time since their relegation and that Rhodes is an essential part of that.
I missed nothing, Juventus and Spurs are the two teams chasing him, just because he wants Champions League football, doesn't mean he's going to get it.

I'd quite like a foreign "gamble". Look at the successes of Remy/Bony etc. Championship prices are extortionate so why pay them if we can get better from abroad. The fact that they can play Championship football is no better indicator than a player being successful in the French/Italian etc. leagues as the Championship and Prem are very different leagues anyway.

I said this earlier, but I feel like we missed a trick with Hosiner, he wouldn't have cost much and is a predator in the same mould as Fryatt.

That's the one, it will take more than the odd decent game for him to be considered as successful as Remy or Bony.
