Jon Walters making all the right noises in the last hour, saying he is on his way out of Stoke, he would love a move back to City, lots of other Irish players in the squad
He's just said he might be on his way, he's not sure and if he does go Palace are favourites to sign him, followed by West Brom, I doubt we're interested.
it was a joke since he just signed for leicester let's sign nugent, he got a fair amount of goals #notodeeneyunlesshecomesanddoesaamazingandthenillrunontothekcpitchandapologisetothewholegroundbutthatsnotgoingtohappensoimsafe
It was definitely mentioned to me as an incoming, though it now looks like it's an incoming and an outgoing.
I agree with all of this, but I'm also with Mr Coat, I think we should sign the Spawn of Lucifer to replace Long. He has pace, trickery, strength and horns and a tail. He'll score ****loads of goals with Snodgrass and Elmo providing the service.
The obvious targets being Wickham and Deeney. Wickham comes off as greedy and has an attitude problem, apparently. Deeney's good but at £10M we'll look even sillier than Southampton. Neither Wickham nor Deeney are what you would call mobile strikers, that's something Long gave us alongside Jelavic. We need a pacey striker like Long to compliment Jelavic and if we can't get one then we'll have to rely on Aluko and Ince, but neither of those are proper strikers. We might as well play a 4-3-3 with Ince and Aluko next to Jelavic.
That would be a perfect replacement but Burnley aren't looking to sell and they've already told Southampton to bugger off.
Interesting quote on the BBC transfer feed: 15:57 Manchester City have "too many players" and could allow forwards John Guidetti and Scott Sinclair to leave before the end of the transfer window, according to Manuel Pellegrini. "John Guidetti or maybe Scott Sinclair, they may need to play in a different team, so we'll see from now until the end of the transfer window what happens with our squad," the manager said. "But at this moment, yes we have too many players."
