If Spurs wanted him, he'd go there in an instant, he'd hardly be a bench warmer there would he? I really can't see him coming here, he's used to being member of the Manchester United first team, his next step wouldn't be Hull, not unless Steve Bruce tells him we'll be challenging for the top 6. I also can't see us shelling out £14m for him or indeed, for anybody.
It's not just about this season, I don't think we're at a stage where we'll be consistently challenging for Europe every season and he'll want to be doing that. The only way we'll get into the Champion's League is if we win the EL. Speaking of which, I don't think the Europa League would be a factor to a player of Wellbeck's stature. It might be useful in drawing players from the Championship or average clubs abroad, but when you're dealing with players from top clubs, I think it's safe to say that they'd be looking to compete at a much higher level and I don't think a Thursday night trip to Cyprus is going to swing the deal.
I think all will be revealed early next week, afterall Sagbo done enough for QPR....we`ll prob be throwing lots of darts at the Welbecks,Hernandez`s of world football hoping we hit the bullseye till then and if we miss with all our arrows we`ll end up with Deeney or someone akin next thurs/fri i reckon
Nah.. why should we let a 2 match ban get in the way?! forgot about that..Jelly(if fit) up on his own with a shadow striker v QPR then i guess.
I think we'll have two left footed wingers up front on Saturday. Brilliant. Like Phil Brown all over again.
