Id say we need to replace him with a nippy little goal poacher , an upgraded better version of Fryatt , or poor mans Augero as such, great sense of balance, upper mussle, and be very pacy, tricky around the box, only needs half a chance

Southern Daily Echo has it on the full back page saying that Southampton have inquired about Long. They say he was a target in January.

If it's true, which I'm still hoping it's not, then I reckon they'll have enquired, we've warned them off with a massive price tag, they've said yes in desperation and we've been forced into a tough decision we didn't expect to have to make.
Nick Powell on loan will be the replacement and £12m with sit in our nest until January.

Another good replacement option, Guly Do Prado is still without a club, he'd be an excellent addition on a free.
Guidetti and Powell would be great signings, totally agree with you both there. If Richards' wages demands weren't ridiculous then he too would be amazing.

Dont get this thing some have with nick powell, miles better prospects in the united reserves/youth everybody was raving about powell last season when a certain januzaj was the cram of the crop in the reserves and broke through, id rather have james wilson on loan than powell the lad who scored 2 on his debut vs southampton last season who giggs introduced, similar to long in he has pace, works hard from the front and can finish

He nearly went for 8 million, why not throw a bid at QPR and see what happens? Newcastle aren't much better than us and he played for them all last season.
