Summer 2014 Transfers Mega-thread

Nothing to do with us, but I see that Koo Pee Arr are now favourites to sign Jonathan de Guzman after Swansea turned down the chance to sign him on a permanent deal. Strange that, thought he was excellent for the Swans and I'd have thought they would have loved to have signed him.

I guess if he does go to Loftus Road then their interest in Leroy may diminish further, which can only be a good thing for us as it sounds like they were trying to nab him on the cheap.

 

My contact at the Club just phoned - as he left through the main entrance 20 mins ago Leroy Fer walked in. Make of that what you will.

 

When you say 'club' do you mean the offices at Carrow road or Colney?

Sounds likely we have accepted a bid for him then.

 

Why would Fer need to be at the ground to be told we've accepted a bid?

 

It`s all Skype and facetime now.

 

I know we're delaying the inevitable re Fer, but the way our midfield was at times on Sunday, I'd do anything to have him back in there.

Any idea of a timescale for Howson's injury?

 

When you consider the prize money in terms of Sky tv revenue for promotion anything less than £10m for Leroy would be foolhardy by the owners .

 

What about the Pilkington situation? Seems like someone is telling lies at the club. Is it me or does it have the same atmosphere it had back around 2007-08? Something isn't right and it's been like this since January 2013.

So Hughes has confirmed his interest in Redmond, I guess the £5m bid is true. Surely that is too low?

Also seen that we are supposedly interested in Leicester's Chris Wood.

 

That'll be Hooper off then, I think he'll be off anyway personally.

 

The Stoke Sentinel says they offered £3m for Redmond. They're also chasing Assaidi though.

 

£3M? They are crazy if they expect us to even think about such a derisory offer. Redman is far from the finished article, but the ability is there.

 

Not necessarily, we need another striker. As it stands, we have Grabban, Hooper, Lafferty, plus Becchio who's off and Loza who can't yet be relied upon as a fourth striker, you'd think.

 

Redmond is a striker this year as well apparently

 

Its going around on twitter that Pilks is on his way to Cardiff, not sure how true but thats what been said.

 

BBC Wales Sport tweeted that Cardiff are set to sign Pilks for an undisclosed fee. Not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand he's injury prone and only available for half the season because of it. On the other hand, when fit, he's probably our best winger and most likely to make something happen on the pitch.
