It appears that the Mousers are prepared to sell their best goalkeeper to Bayern Munich for just £2m, a strange move letting a 31 year old leave who is still at his peak and a better option than Mignolet imo, surely the Dippers could afford his wages now that they have one season of CL money.

Don't see Brad getting much game time at Bayern either, weird move..

But on a serious note it's sad to see how Reina has declined. Loved the guy but he's got worse and worse since Rafa (and his GK coach whose name I cannot recall) left. Far too error prone. Mignolet isn't as commanding but he's generally safe. He's a decent keeper and might improve. We'd still get the fee we paid or around it IMO.

We'll see how our defence is when we line up with Moreno, Sakho, Lovren and Flafu.

Hey, guys! Here's a heads-up...

There's an hilarious thread currently running on the Mouser board on the subject of bookies' odds for the coming season's title chances, and there are several Mousers decrying the fact that 'Pool are currently marked at 10/1, and 5th favourites. One Mouser has pointed out that, last season, they were 20/1 and finished 2nd, which means they should have tighter odds this time round. Apart from the fact that 10/1 is twice as tight as 20/1, the silly muppets seem to have no idea that the odds are set by the money that is placed with bookies.

Quite frankly, any money placed on 'Pool winning anything next season is money thrown away, so that 10/1 seems to be overly generous to me.

Are there really Mousers out there who genuinely believe that 'Pool will win the league? They couldn't win it with Goofy, so how the **** do they seriously expect to be anywhere near the title without him?

It simply beggars belief!

£2m for Reina's a pretty **** fee, isn't it? Didn't see much of him at Napoli, but I don't think he's declined that badly, to be honest.
Not sure why Rodgers is so set against him competing for his place. His distribution's excellent and it would really suit their style of play.
Mignolet's probably a little more solid and consistent, but as Vorm pointed out when he joined us, you need more than one good keeper now.
Perhaps they're lining someone up, as Brad Jones just isn't good enough to push for a starting place, from what I've seen of him.

So, let me get this straight as i'm not great with odds. If Liverpool are 10-1 and you bet £10, you lose £10, right?

Of course if they go to 100/1, as HIAG seems to suggest is more appropriate, then that is very different......you will then lose £10.

I see that Rodgers has hailed Lovren as " The new Carragher" does this mean that nobody will be able to understand one ****ing word he says? Well, except Harry Enfield, maybe!...
