I'm inclined to agree with you on this one now. I've give it time, remained confident and positive. A line has to be drawn though and it's time we ****ed him off and moved on.
Spot on pal, hopefully we got a plan b.

Does he not realise how bad it makes him look if in the end he does come?! Would be interesting to hear what he had to say on the matter.
Poyet has said basically that as its alot of money he needs to know what he's getting and cos we had him here last season we know exactly what we would get. But it doesnt say much for our scouting network if we cant find even better on the continent for that amount of money. There must be a few and who aren't relucant to come! What's the point of bringing someone in that doesn't appear to want to come. Niall Quinn always said it has to be a certain type of player to play for us...someone that wanted to play up here and had the right attitude and could play in front of 40,000 plus crowds. I'd move on and move on to plan B now!
He really enjoyed his time up here and we did affect him, look he's still tweeting about us

Steven Taylor is dead to me![]()
Is this with regards to people saying she's the reason he hasn't signed? I read tweets saying she wouldn't leave Liverpool and just put it down to speculation. I've seen her name linked to this transfer too many times now though. Sick of it and she's not helped herself by responding to it.
He's a modern football player ...... a soulless itinerant mercenary who's best friend in his agent. He's 23 and has already kissed the badges of half a dozen clubs, has won nowt and seems little interested in his country.
Borini will be at Sunderland next season and on a permanent deal, not a loan ......... I'm sure of it.
The fact that he's saying nothing means negotiations are ongoing imo. His past behaviour confirms that.
Football contracts are incredibly complicated these days and Borini is in a long expensive contract at Liverpool.
It seems that contract details are more important to Borini than either his career or his integrity.
When he was at Swansea he went through an entire season secretly knowing he had already signed an agreement to go to Parma.
He had pretended he would be leaving Chelsea for Swansea, that was dishonest to say the least.
Parma & Chelsea had to go to the FIFA 'court' to resolve the financial payments as the clubs couldn't agree.
These negotiations rumbled on for 2 years.
Despite the difficult & protracted negotiations that took Borini to Parma he left on another incredibly complicated loan to Roma.
That was after only one month!
This was his 'home town club' yet, despite the huge effort Parma made to sign him, he never made a single appearance for the club..
The deal included an option to buy which was invoked although Roma only acquired 50% of Borini ....... his agent made a huge £150,000 from that part of the deal alone. Roma then had to enter a 'blind auction' to buy the other 50% of the player.
Incredibly only a month later Borini left the club to sign for Liverpool.
So, it's obvious that Borini had no loyalty to any of his clubs, not even his home town club .....
..... why should he have any loyalty to Sunderland?
He's a modern football player ...... a soulless itinerant mercenary who's best friend in his agent. He's 23 and has already kissed the badges of half a dozen clubs, has won nowt and seems little interested in his country.
Every single transfer he's been involved in has been wrought with clauses, bonuses & disputes.
If anyone believes he'll be attracted to Sunderland by a day out at Wembley or the supporters singing his name then that's their business. If he comes to Sunderland, as I believe, it will be for money and money alone.
I'll cheer every goal but I'll be cheering the badge & the shirt.
Great detective work! All makes sense now i suppose...he's still pissing me off like!
Although he only played a dozen or so games for Swansea he scored for them at Wembley and was worshipped by the Swansea supporters.
He left for Parma but only ever wore the shirt once .......... for the media cameras on the day he signed!
Your article really puts things in perspective Smug. By coincidence, as I was reading it, they were just talking about Nasri on SkySports 1, Sunday Supplement, of his interview in one of today's red tops (I think, switched on half-way through), where he gives an honest view from the players perspective, especially the foreign players. It's all about their career, their own futures in the game and the money. He admits a clear disconnect between the players and the fans (my para-phrasing).
Like one of the journo's said, the players kiss the badge and move on. Fans dont or can't transfer to another club. They expect players to be loyal to the club they love and are angered when they move on, or whatever.
I agree with you, I think Borini will sign for us, but it will be for his own short and longer term plans and ambitions and there's nowt wrong with that. We just need to take advantage of his time with us while he's here.
First time anyone's ever called one of my posts that mate, I'll take it as a compliment.
