I wonder if you wise sages realise that Boruc has several "blunder compilations" <laugh>

Yeah, you must be right, he's ****ing mint <doh>

Oh yeah, he's had a few for us last season haha. He can be one of the best at times, but does have the odd clanger. They're normally hilarious though, which helps soften the blow somewhat.

Yes, because clean sheet stats are purely reflective of the goalkeeping abilities. Have a <doh> yourself sonnnnnnnnn

Methinks that you don't quite know whereof you speak. Boruc made some a couple really horrific mistakes which were replayed over and over again. In between those horrific mistakes, he was fantastic. I'll take the latter with the former, because compared to an average keeper he saved a far greater number of likely goals than he created.

Edit: I see that, while I was posting, you have confirmed that your opinion is derived largely from a couple mistakes that got replayed over and over again. Mystery solved!

I'm pretty sure "not letting in any goals" is indicative of goalkeeping abilities.

You're being obtuse. Clean sheets are reflective of team-ethic, tactics and defending abilities more than goalkeeping prowess. A good team relies little on a goalie and needs them to make few saves, and these are the teams with the most clean sheets. Do yourself a favour, look up the stats on how many shots he had to save compared with other goalkeepers, and then come back.

You should be ****ting yourself that a couple of the reasons he got those clean sheets have f***ed off <ok>

Yeah, and the most important one is still here.

Sorry, your first choice keeper is utter garbage. I know what I like in goalkeepers, because I played in goal myself. Artur is one of the worst in the league, you defo needed bolstering in this department. As a Newcastle fan, I can tell you a few things about Fraser.

1. we've had endless "should we have sold Krul and kept Forster" debates on our board, and Forster-sympathisers always lose. Krul's not a world-class goalkeeper, by any stretch, but he's level with Forster in probably ever respect except catching crosses. Krul is one of the best in the world at it when he's fully fit. Forster is a useful goalie, but the consensus is we made the right choice in letting him go.
2. we still think he's a talent, but occasionally a bit ungainly and slow to be a great of the future. £10 million for him seems a bit pricey indeed, but if he stays at Southampton for many years, it's worth it, and if he becomes a regular international, he could be sold for double that in future.
3. he's very professional, which is not something Southampton should take for granted, considering the behaviour of recent and current players (before some hothead rants at me about this. Osvaldo, Lallana, Schneiderlin etc).

Wish him the best at your club <ok>

Last post I made on this forum, I noted the comparisons between our owner's strategies, to mixed response. One chap from here even suggested that you were certain to spend £120 million <laugh> I wonder how we reflect on that now, with few days left til the new season? £10 million on Fraser isn't too bad, but so many more areas need addressing now. Cutting it close indeed here lads. you need players and quick![/QUOTE]

Correct on your last point, though some on here would beg to differ.

The rest is bulls**t and f**k all to do with you...now f**k off back to your hole wherever that maybe.

Add up how much we spend at the end of the window. It won't be £120m (I think) and last time you pissed us off with whatever crap it was you were spouting. You need to do one or is the Newcastle Board as slow as the Hammers that we have WUMs on here board with their own bored all the time.

No. I'll grant you his blunders tend to be more hilarious than most, and are replayed more often, but he just makes more mistakes overall. I'm perfectly happy to comment on this knowing my opinion is based on watching Boruc, and all other goalkeepers in the league, a lot. So you can waste your life saying otherwise all you want <ok>

Woah now hold on here people. It's ludicrous as Saints fans to try and say Boruc is without his faults.

- **** distribution.
- Prone to direct liability and costly insanity on occasion.
- Age, not going to be around much longer.
- Spent some time on the shelf injured last season and has an ongoing back issue.
- General barminess.

We now have someone of a similar ability, who is thought very highly of by our GK coach (supposedly the best one in the country) who is younger, less broken down and less batty. We should be happy and Boruc will be second choice. Lets just relax. :)

That doesn't even make sense. But love the group mentality. Outsiders???!!!!! That don't just lick our bums???? ATTACK!!!!!!!!!! Very infantile.

Like I say every time I post. It's a multi-board forum. You have no more right to comment on Southampton related topics than me. You can't even say that you watch more Southampton games than me, you just don't know. So what say everyone just chills out and let's me voice my opinion <ok>

Where are the adults?

Run along, little boy.

It's actually called worry about your own team instead of being bored and trolling other teams boards

I'm sure you did your homework, sweetheart. I'm sure you did.

You came here to start an argument. Who's really wasting their life?

And how does the resident genius figure that one? I stated my opinion quite reasonably, and it's hardly an unreasonable opinion I stated. If I think a player is ****e, what makes you think I can't say so. I didn't say you couldn't disagree? Each to their own and all that.

People aren't disagreeing with you because you're an outsider, they're disagreeing because they disagree, novel concept. Also you're being a bit inflammatory, otherwise why would you bother coming here?

Where are the adults?

The reasons you have annoyed people are:

Asserting an overly harsh opinion of a crowd-favourite Boruc. He's not just a nutter, he's our nutter. We have gad a lot of keepers and recognise he is, overall, very good. He also organises the defender very well - which makes us a better team.

Also, you are judging our team in those sensationalist, red top, style phrases which we are all bored of. We have a decent team. We are in no danger.

Thanks. Please try to approach these conversations in a more mature, balanced manner before calling out the adults.

<laugh>

Multi-board forum. MULTI-BOARD FORUM. You want a single-board forum, where nobody else can challenge your isolated views <ok>

So, give us your well-informed opinion. How do you find Boruc in one-on-one situations? Are there any weaknesses you spotted in his technique on such?
