Not really worth the comparison given how different they are, but give it a few years and Fer's potential far outstrips Lallana's - who has pretty much been at that level for 3/4 seasons now. But now he's in the big league people pay attention.
I don't really get the Lallana love, personally. He looks quite good on the ball, with his head up and good close control, but every time I see him play he looks terribly ineffectual. Is that because he's more of a flat track bully and I've only really watched him against better teams? Don't get me wrong, he's clearly a decent player, but I definitely don't think he's worth £27m. Transfermarkt value him at £6.6m and Fer at £7.5m.
Will Vaulks from Falkirk is the latest rumour, courtesy of the Fail. 20 year old defender so presumably one for the future. Will be well known to Holt.
The news on Fer, Hooper and Redmond has all quietened down a bit. Guess this could be good or bad. It either means they are doing deals :-( or there have been no good enough bids .
Bedford if they were doing deals I'd guess the rumours would be rife. I wonder if we've put some people off with our asking prices.
Well, as I wrote that, some journalist was coming up with rumours of a £10m bid from Stoke for Redmond... would that be enough given his age and talent??
Quite frankly I'd want more but it would be approaching the right value. Can't see it though, I think he is very much in Adams plans and is more valuable at the club. Doubt we'd let him leave.
I'm beginning to think that no clubs are willing to pay the prices we're asking, or there would be rumours.
Telegraph claim stoke have made 5m bid for Redmond. Article goes on to say we have been over valuing our players, which I think is the point!
How on earth are we OVER valuing our player's. Going by some of the stupid fees we see now a days I think were quite entitled to get as much money as we can for our players.
