I don't know what to do. Is it worth trying to book travel when we could end up with 600 tickets?!
In the same boat. Apparently last time they were in the Europa League the game was moved to a UEFA-standard stadium, but since then their own ground has been improved to that level, so we might be f*cked if it's an allocation not much larger than the amount of people who went to Trencin.
I would wait until you have tickets. Football fans not allowed on ferry so that could cause a few problems. It's Dover to Calais/Dunkirk for me then 1hr 30 from there.

My thoughts precisely. I'm not expecting a ticket but I'm 100% going. It'll be on telly in a bar, what's the problem?
Some Tiger Travel coaches may be an option for them (unless a flight works out cheaper).
How long are we looking at that taking? 5 hours to Dover, 30 mins across the channel, 1h 30 after that making it 7 hours travel say? Probably better off going in car and stopping over so can return at whatever time you want the following day if taking that option.
All hotels locally now fully booked, good rail connections in the area so it really doesn't matter where you stop. No panic yet!

Bloody hell, people don't mess about do they? Where else is local enough to get to on the night after the match?
Regular half hour trains to Antwerp direct.
1-1.5 hrs to Brussels.
20mins to Gent leaving every 45 mins or so.
Last trains seem to be 11-11:30pm so should be plenty of options.
As I said for the Trencin game, the German Deutsche Bahn website is very good for planning European train journeys.
