    Atsu is off to Everton.

As for strikers, only a new one will probably come in if Hooper is on his way. Personally I would be happy with Lafferty, Hooper, Grabban & Loza. Loza has potential and bringing someone else in is only going to jeopardise that progression for him. I really want to see some of our youngsters be given a fair crack of the whip.

Will be sad to see Wolf go, if it happens, but if, as has been suggested he´s not happy with the thought of Championship football, then there´s absolutely no point in keeping him, not entirely sure he would have coped with the physical side in the Championship anyway. This way at least St. Etienne pay his wages and get to take a look at him for a year, with the possibility of a sale at the end of that time, can´t see we could have negotiated a much better deal to be honest. More worrying to me, is the rumour, getting stronger by the day, that Gary O´Neil is close to arriving, nothing against him personally, but very suggestive that Fer is probably off - if he is, I hope at least that McNally will make´em pay.

I thought RVW said he was happy and couldnt wait to play and that he didnt know where any of these rumours were coming from?
seems a massive turn around in the space of 48 hours if this is true. As a Town fan I would be quite happy if it was true. RVW apart from last season has always known where the goal was and lafferty was not nicknamed laugherty in Scotland for no reason (unless he has progressed alot in the past 3 years)

relegation clauses are up to a 50% reduction in basic wage, in some cases.

I thought Redmond did well up front with Grabban against Nice, so that could be another option, as might Pilks in a pinch.

i wouldnt be surprised if its more than just an option - na has played redderz alot further up the pitch- including at the end of last season. best place for him until he develops a decent final ball - can still remember when arsene brought henry in from the wing...

I was thinking the same thing when he scored that first goal against Nice. Had Thierry written all over it!

Excellent Adams is trialing a 3-1-6 formation , i know the Skybet Championship is a drop down in class but this is taking the piss.

I will feel a bit sad to see RVW go out on loan, I feel like he's being pushed out and I really wanted to see him prove himself here. But then if it is true that he doesn't want to play in the Championship then maybe it is for the best. Still a bit disappointed though.

With Lafferty & Grabban scoring in pre season and looking better than Wolfsphincter then that`s an expensive arse on a plastic chair next to Becchio so f** him let him play in a French league that is far easier than our 2nd tier.
Basically he bottled it in England, obviously he will score 23 plus goals next term and play for Holland with Leroy but so be it...

Very annoyed about RVW, he would do well in this league with the right service, someone at the club wants to phase him out and after whatever loan period he'll be sold on the cheap. I don't trust the board, never have done and it wouldn't surprise me if they cash in on our better players and replace them with safe Championship players.

He hardly bottled it. It's not easy for a foreigner to come here and fit in straight away, it can take time to adjust to this league. Also he was injured for a good part of last season and the formation and tactics didn't help him either.

He scored 2 goals in pre season as well but haven't played since, I just think it's a shame he won't have a chance to prove people wrong here. But hopefully our two new strikers are looking good and should have a good season.

We pay him about £30k a week to score or make goals he was given a fair crack at the whip under he shall not be named and managed 1 goal..
I`m pretty sure Adams would let him play as a first choice striker this term if Ricky was up for it but he seems to think he is better than us.
That in my book is bottling a challenge to prove that he can be prolific in the English lower leagues..
If the club want him off the books then ignore my last statement..

Ricky himself has been very positive about wanting to stay, if you think he had a fair crack of the whip last term, I'm bloody glad you're not my boss he was injured for more than a third of the season, made to play off the bench while injured and then played in a system that gave him no service! If he goes, it will have been engineered by his agent and NA!

I never got the impression he thinks he's better than us, judging from his tweets he was up for this season and again he didn't bottle anything but I'm not going to repeat what I said again.

How did he exactly bottle it? What I saw last season was a good player receiving poor service from an uncreative and indecisive midfield set up, controlled by an inept manager.
