According to Twitter rumours Quintero's agent has denied any link to Arsenal.

SS seems to be getting excited about this rumour. I didn't think we would be in for another winger unless someone goes or Sanchez goes central. It isn't the most important position we are interested in...

Sky sources: West Ham sign defender Carl Jenkinson from Arsenal on season-long loan. Not sure a fat Sam team would be ideal for an Arsenal player but I guess he'll get plenty of defensive practice.

I would be ecstatic if Sanchez went central though, so I wouldn't mind.

He's got a good cross on him which Sam should like. He'll hopefully improve the defensive side of his game there at least although they'll probably have a new manager soon anyway

They didn't make any sense really.

Another AMF would be ridiculous.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. We already have Sanchez, Ozil, Cazorla, Wilshere, Diaby, OXO, and Rosicky. If Diaby is fit for more than a few games then Wenger will have a proper conundrum with the players he actually has, as Diaby offers something none of the others does in the centre.

Tbh it sounds like the casillas and cazorla rumours - absoulete balls. They need to make up headlines as many of the clubs have got tgeir business done early or have identified their targets

Quintero only makes sense if another player was to leave and most were suggesting Cazorla. As good as he's meant to be I'd not want to sacrifice Santi, an established EPL player, for an unknown quantity. For all I know Quintero might be a world beater but I doubt it at this stage and I'd rather we spent elsewhere.

But at the same time the only quotes are from Cazorla saying he's very happy at Arsenal, is preparing for the new season and isn't planning on going anywhere (paraphrased kindof, but you get the gist), and from Athletico Madrid saying they've never looked at signing Cazorla and have other targets. But all these ITKs still insist on spouting nonsense that we're going to sign a winger to replace Cazorla and that Santi's transfer is almost complete!
