We all have our disappointments in life. I wanted to take the summer off but my employers declined, saying that my contract only gave me 5 weeks holiday for the whole year!

Bastards!

But, I dare say that I will get over it.

The reason that English players cost more is their homegrown status; big teams struggle to field enough players to meet the quota. Morgan is, I believe, considered homegrown owing to when we acquired.

Ok thanks for that didn't realise.....

Time to start fining players for bringing the Club into disrepute via Social Media. It needs to stop.

I absolutely agree on standing firm. Still have qualms about how we've handled it to date, though...the end of July after selling five players is regrettably late to establish that stand.

Yep, well done Morgan, way to go. For the time being, I think you've lost one or two fans.

Of course he's lost fans but the idea that he's stupid or mental is an odd one. I think this is a calculated move. He's trying to engineer a move away from the club and going by the board's actions so far this summer the best way for him to do that is to make himself a toxic presence in the dressing room. He may be a ****er and this may not work but I don't think it's stupid.

He won't get much support within the team...he is effectively saying that they are playing for a team unworthy of him. Sympathy will soon disappear.

Yesterday he posted his congrats to Lovren on twitter, today he posted his disgust at our very club. I think Club Our Journey was never really talking about Southampton.

I always think it's a bit off posting congratulations when someone leaves a club. Wish them luck..okay, but congratulations insults the team they leave. Why don't people talk to others privately...why do everything in public?

Exactly. Was going to post something like this. We have so much money now we don't need any more, he can rot. It would take an astronomical bid to even bother considering.

Anyone else reading this thread title in their head in Brian Blessed's voice (fans of Flash Gordon may understand!)

No, but there is a line in Firefox [1980], where the Clint Eastwood character radios in that he's managed to land the prototype stolen Russian fighter on an ice flow and was refuelled by a submarine. One of the officers overseeing the mission answers, he's alive**.[?] after being informed of all this. I read it in that voice.

**The stock shout at the TV screen is.. of course he is, you twat..! That's if you haven't been sensible enough not to watch the film in the first place. :)
