If he wasn't asked about it why would he bring it up if there's no truth in it? He has been unequivocal about not selling Jay and Morgan, and rebuilding the team, both of which put paid to any asset-stripping accusations. He will be judged on those words if anything different happens in the next few weeks, but as you say, very promising.
He was in another interview and said we are not for sale.

Reassuring to hear, nice to see that the asset stripping isn't happening, and some backbone looks to be on display. One thing I will say that to 100% confirm that Rodriguez and Schneiderlin are not for sale, on live TV, is quite something. As others have said, if that promise is broken, all hell will be let loose, and rightfully so at that point.
