Terribad too. Ajax played Benfica on Saturday and he was absolutely dreadful. Poor passing, no vision, runs around like a headless chicken, slow, lacks intelligence on the pitch and I can go on and on. The only thing the kid has going for him is his strength and his work rate. But with poor positioning, passing and pace those two attributes are useless. Never liked him and probably never will, can't see why he is so hyped up in the past couple of years. Always injured, played only 2 or 3 really good games in the past couple of years, for the Eredivisie level he is still a very mediocre LB or CB.
 
A lot of people are worried about the defence, but I'd be concerned more about scoring goals.. our first choice defence with two/three recruits would be good, but I'd hope for a bit more in the way of goals. Pelle Tadic and Isgrove is worrying...
 
Haven't seen it anywhere on here, but thought that it's relevant;

Sporting Lisbon have bought 80% of Estudiantes left back Jonathan Silva for €3.5m.

An Estudiantes left back to replace their former Estudiantes left back Rojo perhaps?...

From previous posts i'm guessing the delay is Forster, but Van Dijk is a go. I can't work out if the other is Rojo or Kolo. I want it to be Rojo(purely from world cup performance), but expect it's Kolo
 
For those wondering about Fonte, when the Lovren news broke this evening at around 20:00-21:00 that an announcement would be coming tonight, he posted the following message onto his Instagram account...

"Another clean sheet Another win Another step on our preparation FACT"

With a picture of himself in the navy away kit with the captain's armband on.

Trying to cherry pick threads that might have good news...that actually brought a tear to my eye. Fonte:emoticon-0115-inlov don't let us down.
 
Stefan de Vrij looks bound for Italy, De Telegraaf reports that Lazio Roma have upped their bid to 8.5 million euro's and that Feyenoord have accepted that offer. According to the newspaper the 22 year old defender can sign a 5 year contract in Rome.
