People did seem pretty relaxed, but my Podunk town is pretty relaxed as well, so it didn't make that much of an impression on me. I did take one cab ride in London and decided that was one more than I ever wanted to take. The traffic was in fact worse than anything I've seen in New York. The really bonkers Londoners were the bicyclists, though: cheek by jowl with very aggressive drivers who didn't seem to care in the slightest whether they lived or died.

Heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury's rematch against Dereck Chisora has been cancelled, as the latter fighter broke his hand in training.
Living up to his name, the angry, unbeaten Manc sent out a number of challenges to fight him, calling his potential challenges "pussies".
Intending to call out an undefeated American via Twitter, Deontay Wilder, he instead sent an abusive message to a Liverpool player.
    Which one?

He'd be better off facing Chisora than a Scouse bird. That could get nasty.

Fury's best performance. Expected him to lose.

A mixed bag, I think. You've addressed some of your depth issues, but haven't replaced Suarez or brought in any defenders, which was easily your weakest area last season.
Perhaps Rodgers believes that a campaign under the belt for Sakho and the return of North London boy Tiago Ilori from loan will be enough?
I expect quite a few more signings though, which may lead to the disruption that we suffered from after Bale's departure.

It'll be interesting to see where these new players fit in and if there'll be a substantial shift in the style of play.
Maybe the manager is hoping to make the midfield harder to break down, in order to offer the defence more protection?

Chisora shouldn't be involved in boxing, as far as I'm concerned, he's too dumb and unskilled. Fury's similar, I'm glad the fight isn't going ahead because it'd be overhyped as another "Battle of Britain" fight which will inevitably be all about the pre-fight antics as they're too unskilled to produce anything entertaining in the ring.

People hated Haye but at least he found original ways to build up a fight, unlike these two clowns.

You needed to add some more players to your squad and you've been doing that well enough so far but with Suarez leaving you really need to add some quality but I don't feel you have. You still need another 2/3 defenders and a top player in attack to have a hope of matching last season, in my opinion.

Lollana - Decent player but at least £10m over priced, should do ok with PL experience.

Lambert - Bit of a Donkey and too old, should do a steady job from the bench.

Can - A bit of an unknown, young and unproven, a typical Rodgers gamble at £10m

Markovic - Similar to Can but more expensive at £20m, comes with rave reviews but may take time to settle and will not be surprised if he flops massively.

Remy - A good deal at £11.5m, good player if a little inconsistent and injury prone, would have liked him at Spurs.

So far, the only player you have signed that would improve Spurs or that I would want is Remy, the others are worse or no better than what we already have or unproven gambles on young players.

Fair views from all. We certainly needed to improve our bench and seem to be doing that well.

Agree we need defenders - a fullback at least - and maybe that 'big' signing.

Think there was more to Spurs last season than just the players - at least we're signing players our manager wants and so on.

He wanted Joe Allen, Borini and Aspas, though. Not necessarily a good thing, but I know what you mean.

For those boxers smart enough to realize it, the idea is to wind up with as much money gained and as few brain cells lost as possible. Haye has done very well.

Seemed like Levy and Baldini were very much in the driving seat for Spurs last summer... Especially for Lamela.

Rodgers has been hit and miss with transfers but it has to be remembered that he's part of a committee... So if we fail to recruit we fail as a club :/

Think he'd do him this time around. Both seem to over-talk a fight but I'm just hoping someone steam rolls Fury at some point, the guy does my head in.

He doesn't have the "boxing brain" like some but I think his power makes up for that, more of a brawler I suppose.

I quite like Chisora though, find some of his antics pretty funny I'm a massive fan of Haye and initially wanted him to win (which he did) their version of the Battle of Britain, I ended up cheering for Chisora just on the basis that when I was in Upton Park, everyone booed the hell out of him and I'm one of those guys who likes going against popular opinion lol.

Like a lot of older guys, I lament the deterioration of heavyweight boxing, in particular.

From what I've seen of those two, any one of Ali, Frazier, or Foreman would have taken them on one after the other, and despatched both in less than 15 mins. O.k. Maybe Ali would play around with them a little bit first.....and what Tyson would have done to them doesn't bear thinking about!...
