AGENT COOLS SUNDERLAND TALK FOR LIVERPOOL STRIKER BORINI

The agent of Liverpool striker Fabio Borini has cooled talk of a return to Sunderland.

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet says a deal is on for the Italian.

But Marco De Marchi insists: “Borini wants to remain on Merseyside.

“Sunderland have made a large offer of €14 million to sign him, but Fabio wants to stay at Liverpool. His project with Liverpool started two years ago when he left Roma – he began a journey and it is a major project for him.

“He should not be judged on his first year - he was out for six months with injuries and during the past year he took a step back by going to Sunderland and he had an extraordinary season.

“His future? Now, after the loan, Liverpool have not told me anything. I think he will stay, he is convinced he will play.”

**** HIS AGENT PILLOCK ****ER

If I was poyet I would withdraw the offer now. Watch him get bench action at best at Liverpool and offer them 8 million on deadline day and watch the ****ers squirm.

We can't wait forever. Either he's coming or not. I'd give him until the weekend to decide. We have Fletch and Connor and (Gawd help us) Jozy so it's not like we can't put a team out without him.

I dunno like Sid, Giacc's knock worried me tonight, what with the lack of depth we have, same goes for so many positions. Brings it home how easily we'd be ****ed at the moment with squad like this and a couple of injuries.
