Well in that case, I absolutely accept the figures quoted. Blimey, if had known that the figures came from such a reliable source, I would never have questioned them. Please accept my apologies for casting doubt on these figures, which are almost certainly entirely reliable. Or not. Who knows?

Look, the figures quoted might be accurate, or they might not. I am just a bit unwilling to believe things without evidence. Deities. Homeopathy. Player salaries.
 
Maybe it is the fact that there is a base wage and then add ons plus bonuses, so maybe the varying wage suggestions do/don't take these into account?
 
I seemed to recall that the incident with Fonte cost him 6 weeks wages and the fine was 240K - which makes it 40K per week... just to add more to what is a fairly pointless discussion because he is leaving (hopefully) and a thread about Lallana now is, frankly, irrelevant... sorry to sound grouchy, but, there you go!
 
He's going to miss a chunk of pre-season and that could set him back for his quest to establish himself. Huge pressure to perform when he gets back and everyone will be ahead of him in terms of game fitness.
