Getting back to Zaha, i've been told [for what its worth] that he's trouble, think he was fined a few times by Man U for not showing up at training and as he didn't exactly set the world alight at Cardiff its a no from me.

I can't really see any good in us not re-signing both him and Jose. Even if we bring better in, we need some consistency in the team, don't we?

Didn't Monk say we were going to offer a 2 yr deal to Cork?

Les Reed...get Corky signed up on a 2yr extension quickly

As our most consistent CM over last season, I can see no reason for not doing so.

His Dad's frustration is almost certainly a reflection of his own so please don't p*ss about and let us loose one of our best players walk away due to management inactivity

Back in for Redmond apparently.

Cool, I really rate him as long as he is used as a touchline hugging winger. Koeman talked the other day of using wingers (which aren't exactly in plentiful supply at the club at the moment) so we're going to have to bring at least one in I'd have thought?

Yes, yes and yes. There is absolutely no reason to hesitate over this. It would cost a fortune to replace him with someone as good. Wanyama, Cork and Schneiderlin would be an amazing midfield trio; incredibly solid.

I think cork is one of those players which is probably better in a game than on the training pitch. It makes we worry that Koeman wont realise how vital cork is.

I'm sure I picked up from Ronald in an interview that he wanted an English core in his team. If we lose Jack the first team may only have Clyne or Chambers who are English in the team.

After seeing that Zaha is supposedly on the way out of Utd... is it worth putting out a couple of rumours of Zaha to SFC to join up with old time friend Clyne?

I have to be brutally honest and say that i didn't really follow his (lack of) progression at United (and Cardiff), but its fair to say that there was a huge buzz around him last year. Would anyone else be interested?

I wouldn't, and didn't want him at the peak of his buzz, as had seen that he was inconsistent.
But oh, what joy for any bitter Palace fans that he failed so miserably - might Lallana encounter a similar season at Liverpool?

Although, do you get bitter Palace fans? They seem to let their players go on very friendly terms.

I'm sure he would have watched plenty of footage of Cork and the rest of the team from last year though.

Even if he did, I'm not sure he'd 'get' it. I think you have to actually be at a game to see what Cork does. I don't remember any of the so-called experts on TV highlighting his contribution even once and yet time and time again on this forum he was voted man-of-the match.
