I think in general at the world cup the co-commentators were ****e. Townsend, Lawrenson, Murphy, take your pick mate. All of them utter ****ing garbage. It was the same in the studios at half/full time, Dixon & Rio were ****e as was Martin One'Nill.
I love Gary Neville and dare I say it Jamie Carragher though for Sky, they provide actual expert insight into the game, like I've never seen before. Apart from those two, and a couple of the older guys who seem to be part of the fabric of English football, I can't really stand any of them. Michael Owen for BT Sport is like listening to paint dry.
Aye, don't mind Neville & him putting his lines on & stuff, sometimes get him on the streams. Not keen on Carragher although I spat my beer out when he ripped Adrian Durham a new arsehole on TalkShite radio.
I didn't hear about that, I tried to hate Carragher to be honest, he started off to me in the same bracket as Jamie Redknapp, just full of **** but over time you can see the quality in his analysis coming through, he's a great pundit only I'm glad he's not made the same transition into commentary that Neville has, I don't want to hear that.

Agreed, Murphy was awful. Like listening to a younger version of Lawro... Whenever a player made any sort of mistake it was always "ugh.." or "tut", nothing more just some derogatory noise as if to say "**** it I'd have done better with my eyes closed". Thought he seemed a right twat.
True, he's even got that same squeaky, camp voice. When they're talking I can't actually tell them apart.
