Hardly.

You posted no link to your random quote either, but just lol'd when I realised that you were quoting 'BBC Salford' as you love calling it.

So now the problem is I didn't post the link <doh> #grasp #deflect

right... IMO the budget was supposed to be 20mil per window. we spent nothing in january therefore there was certainly to my mind 40mil to spend.

the 60million budget was "rumoured" based on CL and no-body club related or "close to" really confirmed so much.

however....

prebite.

moreno 16mil.. trying to work installment fee.
lallana was 20-25mil
can was 10 mil
mr labert was 4.

so call that 55million pre sales.

Therefore if lovern who was mooted was to be ough you'd assume either we've blown more on some guys than we wanted or an agger or skertl sale was factored in.

Markovic, 20mil Orgili 6mil? ... I think tobes is fair in saying we are into spending the suarez money there.

If the range of fees is.. 81 to 95 million SO FAR... you have to think we are going to sell more than just suarez... lucas, agger/skertl... who knows

It certainly looks like you're going to have a big turnover in the squad, there's always a danger of over egging it when you have wholesale change, so Rodgers is going to have his work cut out moulding a whole host of new players into what he wants.

Sometimes less is more.

The one single advantage we've had from having no bleeding cash, is that we've kept a small, close knit squad, and that's had benefits in terms of cohesion and familiarity on the pitch.

As I originally said you donk, it was out of context - a random couple of paragraphs with no link and the text posted made no ****ing sense, given it's Friday tomorrow ffs.

You of all people quoting the beeb and then making out I'm daft for picking it to pieces? ****ing lol.

I quoted all the relevant paragraphs of the article, enough to understand what it was saying, and referred to a "possible" twist to take place

thus far i feel the changes have been planned whether or not i agree with them.

lambert in for aspas is not loss. apsas was unplayable last year towards the end so better he shuffles of and if we recoup the lambert fee at least its not good moeny after bad.

can was a good signing in a much needed area

Moreno was long mooted again in a very weak area

Lallana was likewise and will likely just strengthen the midfield rather than play up top

all those have been long tie plans. not sure about markovic really but we tried for salah, konoplynka and so forth so again is seems to fit the replacement of the squad gap plugged badly with moses last year when again mkhitaryan and willian failed.

Really the core intent is there but that was prior to suarez. You could see maybe one or two new signings starting in the first 11 on day one with suarez and sturridge but then he did his nut and is to be sold so the cascade effect of that will be tactical and personnel changes

i would now probably see an LFC team with maybe 4 new faces on day one and a bench with a further 3.

Mingoloet
johnson (worst luck) lovern Sahko Morneo
gerrard
Henderson Lallana
Coutinho
Sturridge Markovic

Jones, Flanagan, skertl? Can sterling, Lambert allen

all in all its on paper stronger but had square never occurred there'd be a more predictable and stable set of tactics to work players into.

As it stands i don't see much benefit at all form the england trio in CM as hodgosn was dire and they didn't kick around that way (and add sterling to that).

we'll see... we could start with skertl and enrique at the back on the grounds of being more in tune over preseason i dunno.

then there is the Big who know who will arrive as well to throw it all wide open

Does anyone know if we've definitely given up on Shaquri (sp) yet? I ask on this thread because I'm praying that the confusion over Suarez is holding up us putting in a bid before Bayern realise what a gem they could lose.

And sometimes you're whistling in the wind Tobes. Having a nuclease of players with experience supported by whoever you can lay your hands on can also demotivate the good players that you do have. At least acknowledge that there's 2 sides to that coin.

Last season it worked well for you. There is no law that says the same level of loanee quality will be around for you this season.

They achieved **** all and only the quality of Martinez (who Tobes doesn't rate) and some early season form from Lukaku meant their season wasn't a complete write off

Don't want to start another war on here, but this raises two points:-

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...e-court-of-arbitration-for-sport-9598616.html

1) The very act of appealing to Cas means that the ban is suspended until they hear it?

2) Uruguay and Suarez can appeal to Cas - why can't Liverpool? Are they waiting for him to become a Barca player knowing that they have more , er, influence and clout? (ie, officials from Cas have already selected the Mercs and Lexus's they desire).

Oo-er. Good job we're not a team of phosphodiester bonds! <yikes>

Sorry, Dave, couldn't resist. It's not a term I thought I'd see on our forum.

Presumably because we weren't party to the original appeal to FIFA, although that's just a guess.

I'm just ready for this all to be over!

Lock someone from Barcelona and someone from Liverpool in a room. Tell them they can't come out until they've agreed a sale or agreed to no sale.

If I were Dave, I'd be getting older and older. So logic dictates whichever I meant- I'm not Dave.

Everyone else is not dave.

Anti-Pedant note: There may be others that have the same name as he, but they won't be the entity that we know and love and call dave.
