I don't know a lot about Kibbutz, other than the obvious stuff about them being groups of Jewish collectivists - but I'd be interested in understanding how they could be completely separated from a Nationalist ideology - from the 'in-group', looking after shared interests, to the exclusion or other tribes mentality.

They're separated from a Nationalistic ideology in that a typical kibbutz will have people from many different countries and backgrounds.
