The Chile match was pretty funny for the amount of kicking Neymar got. To be fair to him he took it pretty well

It's interesting that Vertonghen became Belgium's best player after getting benched for horrible defending. He kept putting in well placed and well timed crosses that somehow eluded his teammates. I wouldn't want Hazard. As talented as he is, he's a mercenary's mercenary. It makes me think he won't find the extra gear at the biggest moments that players who are more team-oriented can find.

Verts initially looked like a capable, exciting and intelligent defender from left back. He was particularly impressive in the 3-2 win away to Man Utd, as was Dembele. Probably a coincidence them both being from Belgium and both playing to a level (in the same game) that we rarely saw again, as while Verts did put in impressive displays (at centre back), his attitude at club level allowed himself to believe he shouldn't play left back and at times appeared to sulk when picked at left back.

It could just be his general expressions, moody looking, but he has lost a lot of fans who backed him and maybe he can carry on his form (from the world cup) and come back next season and show he is a class player that respects the club, although most where expecting him to demand a move (and he hasn't) so we could be guilty of treating him harshly.

Mr Vertonghen seems to have a very high opinion of himself. I noticed, in Belgium's last game, him arguing with and having a go at teammates. I think, in short, that he has "an attitude problem"

Both fair points and I'm not a big fan of Verts, never rated him as highly as others but even when he was a favourite, he played with a moody appearance, he looks like a moody **** most of the time so when there are any rumours of problems they maybe are exaggerated.

We saw last season how certain fans used TWITter to spread lies about Sherwood, one of the suggesting he only took the job to get a big payoff (which was a lie) so I take these rumours about Verts with a pinch of salt, even with me not being a big fan of his.

But RCL, you can carry on calling him a **** if you wish! <laugh>

Ahead of tonight's game, may I just say...

    Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit
    Für das deutsche Vaterland!
    Danach lasst uns alle streben
    Brüderlich mit Herz und Hand!
    Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit
    Sind des Glückes Unterpfand;
    |: Blüh' im Glanze dieses Glückes,
    Blühe, deutsches Vaterland! :|

    ...Deutschland, Deutschland unter Brasilien...

I've asked myself what Vertonghen could possibly due to win back my support, and I have to admit that

Would not like to be a copper on the streets of Brasil tonight. There could be riots.

Feel sorry for Colombia. They would really have given Germany a game.
