After his slightly controversial start to Saints life he really has fitted in nicely, it seems he isn't particularly amused by Dejan's antics. Boruc strikes me as the kind of guy that actually "gets" football fans, probably because he is a lunatic supporter in his spare time anyway. I think one of the reasons there is such a lack of loyalty these days is that due to football careers starting so young, few players have experienced turning out week on week in the stands watching their favourite clubs and experiencing that bond that develops.

He's a big family man apparently. He seems to live a much calmer life now compared to his reported antics with Celtic.

I agree with Olly really. Boruc is fine as first choice and while were unlucky with his injury last season, keepers tend not to miss that many games. Really we just need capable backup and you don't need to spend £8m to get a capable reserve keeper.

Except it's not a discussion. It's you ignoring information given to you with people that have a greater knowledge of a situation than you do, with you just repeating the same tired nonsense and refusing to learn anything. But.....y'know.....good luck with that.
Hate to say it, but I thought Boruc looked unfit when he came back after injury. I think that might be a long-term issue we have with him, and I'd rather have a keeper that keeps him focussed and on his toes, than merely a 'capable backup'.
Boruc is what, 34 now? He has 12 months left on his contract. He's mentioned before I believe, playing for his side, Legia Warsaw, before he retires.
So, if we get a keeper in now - he and Boruc compete, and in 12 months time we let Artur go back to Poland.
The new player then takes over after a season here. And for this season? May the best man win.
