I know that Keown is looking for a new accountant, if you're catching my drift.

Let's just say, after all the Rosie 47 jibes, we can aim some Eclipse 35 ones in his general direction...

Agreed. If FIFA were interested in better, fairer football, they would experiment with ways to use technology without stopping the game.

    If.

I wonder if there's any way of acquiring this Vertonghen fellah, who's been Belgium's best attacking threat. He'd be perfect to solve our left back problem.

Hazard out, Chadli in. Belgium should have it in the bag now.

They've called two fouls on Fellaini and Lukaku in the box that were completely nonexistent. The refs have been favoring Argentina fairly strongly, which is no surprise.

It's been an impressive display of negative football from Argentina.

Gutted for Chadli. Scoring the winner in the world cup final would have been more beautiful then seeing Messi believe he is on par with Maradona (if Argentina win the cup).

What to make of Belgium? Hazard a huge disappointment. Verts impressive at left back. Kompany making his usual errors in each game. Such natural talent but am sticking to my original view that overall the Belgians are too inconsistent to form a team unit good enough to do their natural talent justice at the big international tournaments.

Was it the litre of Onikiroshi I drank, or did nothing happen for the second half of Argentina/Belgium?

Some dogged defence by Costa Rica. But also some unbelievable luck! Surely Holland must score soon?....

The Dutch do have a history of flaking, or have they confined that to the Euros these days?

Nemesis seems to have acted upon Brasil for the cumulative reffing decisions. :)
Whether Neymar being out is too harsh a punishment, time will tell.

The Brasil SF will be quite interesting, as Germany are not averse to acting antics either.

If the QFs are anything to go by, Argentina will be quite happy to defend and counter
if they are leading Holland with 30 mins to go.

Since the group stage, nearly all of the top sides seem too scared to play their best game unless
    they have fallen behind. :(

If Messi can be marked out of the match then Holland stand a good chance as I haven't been impressed by Argentina. Brazil remind me of Chelsea, Lucky.

Spot on. With half the Chelsea team and no centre forward, they are Chelsea in yellow!

Holland are my pick. They have a lot of pace and a number of match winners. They haven't played at their best most of the time, but that second half v Spain shows they have a fifth gear which the others don't have. They just need to find it.

  15. This World Cup Final has Brazil v Argentina written all over it - has done from the very start.

Add that to the 25 million on Lallana, 4 million Lambert and 10 million can, that's just under 75 million (the amount they will receive for Suarez).

Lovren is also a target, taking their spending to near to 100 million (if all deals goes through).

Will that be the Suarez money pissed up the wall? or has Rodgers learnt from the signings of Aspas.

Perhaps this will make their other MF/forward players front up for the cause and play more like
last summer. They will have to, as Germany are quite happy to see out 1-0 leads it seems.

It says a lot that the two games with the highest number of fouls were Brazil's matches with Columbia and Chile.
