Suarez is a quality player, but it's clear he's been angling for a move for the last two years, sell him now whilst his stock is high before he bites somebody else and gets a life ban.

 

When Gazidis met the AST in June he said the club were working on transfers he also the club were working on the Ozil transfer for months.

 

I thought Ozil was a last minute panic buy that had nothing to do with the club and was all down to luck ?

 

Even the Liverpool Echo seems to think Liverpool won't sign Sanchez.

I'm hopeful we'll get him, his versatility would open up so many options for us in attack and compliment the team so well. A steal at like £25 million or whatever it is too.

 

The figure seems to be ranging from £19-30 million

 

70mil Euros =£59.45mil, so if you knock £30mil off for Sanchez it leaves a cash payment of £24.45mil (i rounded it up to £25mil).

 

The only bad thing about the Sanchez signing is that it seems he is the one being bought for the striker position.

 

I know you hate/fancy Giroud, but he offers us good options in attack. Sanchez could play as a front man, but I think his versatility around the front three would compliment all of our attacking players.

According to the Mirror we have signed 18 year old Finnish keeper Hugo Keto who was on trial at Anfield last season.

 

I don't hate Giroud, but we ALL AGREED we need a new quality world class striker, and that Sanchez is not, signing him does not sort out our striking issue at all. Sound's like you're already making excuses!

I'm not making any excuses and I do agree that we need another striker. I've said plenty of times that I'd like to see us sign Mandzukic but there doesn't seem to be even a whiff of a rumour surrounding him, which is odd seeing given the situation at Bayern with Lewandowski coming in. However if Sanchez is the only attacking player we buy then I certainly won't be complaining, the guy is top quality.

Giroud and Sanogo, plus Campbell and Sanchez.
Do we need more than 4 strikers ?
If Theo gets/stays fit he is also an option
