one of my favourites, but lets get back on thread topic. have we any news on Sanches and Suarez situation. as i read on bbc website that Sanches deal is a separate issue, so that the Suarez transfer isn't dependant/reliant on him Sanches agreeing to move to Liverpool. if that the case offer Barca the cash* for him so they can buy Suarez for cash. simples. *also we would take off what they still ****ing owe us for past transfers. and from now on make them pay in full upfront.
Except that on a three-year contract you'll very probably have a £130,000 a week first-choice right-back who can't cut the mustard physically near the end of his contract, where he'd be at the age where he wouldn't have the pace to compete as a fullback where you need to be able to keep up with fast-paced wingers. City blow loads of cash on bench-warmers all the time. We don't.
The way I see it, Barca need to sell Sanchez in order to recoup some of the money from the Suarez purchase. Wouldn't make sense to sell to Liverpool then.
Well rumours are that we consider Sanchez value at 30 (not 23) so barca would only have to pay 40. Also you guys would want the rest of your fabregas fee deducted in the purchase instead of lingering payment dates. Latest is you've offered 130pw contract and us 140pw. Seems too expensive to me. And Sanchez to decide next week. Barca have already agreed terms for Suarez and also Suarez' fee has been agreed. Just not the consideration (cash or cash +Sanchez)
Considering Sanchez's camp have said he doesn't want to join you, does it really matter what you offer him?
Agreed haven't seen that mentioned anywhere. I have heard from a few pretty reliable sources that Sanchez isn't interested in moving to Merseyside though.
I've seen Arsenal offering £130K, I haven't seen Liverpool offering £140K. I've heard that Fabregas was being paid in installments plenty of times, long before this summer too, but I haven't heard that we're trying to get rid of them by taking it off Sanchez. I haven't seen that he is due to decide next week either, or that Liverpool value him at £30 million as opposed to £23 million, which is a number I haven't seen yet, certianly in terms of valuation.
I must admit I've only seen rumours of what we're supposedly offering in wages and nothing about Liverpool.Like you I've seen nothing about Liverpool's valuation of him but I only bother checking on rumours to do with us.A couple of Chilean journalists (I think they are anyway) have been tweeting that Sanchez to Arsenal looks like a done deal.
Also as I understand it Dick Law and Ivan Gazidis met with Barca representatives before the World cup to discuss a transfer for Sanchez. This is probably why the player has said that if he is sold, then he would prefer a move to Arsenal. It seems like we've done the groundwork on this deal and have been working on it for a while.
Since the Barca offer of 70mil for Suarez is in Euros the Liverpool valuation of Sanches at £30mil would leave Liverpool only getting £25.5mil in cash for Suarez.
