You may have noticed that this is the transfer "rumours" thread so this is where I'm posting "rumours"
Yes you are! We have Walcott coming back - think he will be better than ever! Many people don't mention the Oc but he is brilliant! Ozil'a second season so he will be better. Debuchy cannot be that bad if he keeps Sagna out in the French nation team (also good for jenkinson to grow into the role). It will be good!
Or how about Deschamps is a fool? Have any of you idiots actually watched Debuchy play? It's like watching an outfield Almunia, you know he's going to f*ck up, but when...
It's not just about that, you can't have one of your players suddenly being paid far more than the others, how long before Mertesacker and Koscielny would start demanding £160k as well?
Alves I conceded Evra gets £90k per week Cole I concede Maicon is on >£60k per week Ramos is on 75k EUR per week Zabaleta is on £65k per week Lahm is a DM now, but I conceded that one too Marcelo is on the same as Ramos. So there are three fullbacks in the world earning more than £100k. In fact, it's now four, as Sagna is the highest paid fullback in the world at £150k per week at City. There was never a chance that Arsenal could match that. If wages were the stumbling block then it's perfectly valid. If the club offered him £100k per week over three years and he turned it down, what was the club supposed to do? Match City's amount? Debuchy will cost more but I get the impression keeping Sagna was what the club wanted. As it is he left, so they have to go to plan B.
How much a player earns is just conjecture, there is no way of proving it. If Sagna's quotes are to be believed, his decision to reject a new contract had nothing to do with money. He wanted a "new challenge"
Debuchy will be 29 in a couple of weeks so he's a solution, but not a (very) long term one, this suggests that AW still believes Jenkinson will make the grade and is the long term option. So if this is his strategy then you have to assume that the club did everything they could to keep hold of 31 year old Sagna, knowing in 3 years time Jenkinson would take the reigns. What this tells me (as others have said) is that Sagna was intent on joining Man City regardless of what we offered and as he was able to speak to other clubs some months ago the chances are deal was done well before the end of the season. But, fair play to Sagna, he kept trying right to the death and no-one can say that he quit on the club before his time was up
If it's opinion then how can it be correct or incorrect ? Only facts are correct or incorrect. By definition opinion is open to interpretation and isn't an absolute, hence why it's called opinion. It is however fact to say that you are talking crap again Kyle.
Well at least it's a confirmation then. Ornstein is as reliable as it gets. So we really are chasing after Sanchez, come on Arsene please don't blow it.
