I can't see Liverpool or the Milans paying £160k a week for a full back, the rest of them are on a different level financially
If we'd sorted this out last summer, we wouldn't even be having this conversation, and we'd be going into the new season with a settled back 4. Another issue with Debuchy is that he's a really lousy defender, and he plays on the right, AKA the side Mertesacker plays. When Mert was caught out of position, Sagna could cover, because Sagna could defend, now this leaves Koscielny having to cover for Gibbs, Mert AND Debuchy. I hope he's up to it.
There are very few RBs in the world getting more than £100k per week. Dani Alves is the only one I can find, and Lahm doesn't really count now he's mainly a DM.
You like me have absolutely no idea how long the club were trying to negotiate a contract extension with Sagna
Not on there. Just looked. His last tweet was 2 hours ago: Avec mon ami @mickalandreau qui termine ça carrière aujourd hui!! Chapeau monsieur landreau!! Et bonne continuation!
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-hope-sign-thomas-3811019 Looks like Verm's on his way out. So we now need 2 CB's. (We were mad to go through last season with only 3 + Sagna)
Am i the only one who's not exactly feeling all too enthusiastic about the new season? We have a crap new shirt, a crap new RB, the same crap manager, the same limited striker etc. We need Sanchez, just to get some morale back. It's a signing that will lift the whole club, and if we blow it, then surely everyone's faith in Wenger must end?
We've had club presidents in the past saying a player would be joining us only for nothing to happen (Vela is a recent example), so until he signs the contract, and it's on the official Arsenal website, with Wenger standing beside him smiling, nothing is to be believed.
