Dunno if this has been posted, but any facebook members check out this page, seems good to support another club in a campaign which relates to such a massive event in English football history, Hillsborough, and the Liverpool fans fight for closure relating to the policing inadequacies and finger pointed that blighted their clubs name, and distressed countless families across Merseyside.

The page has hit 2000+ members.

    Have a look <ok>

Personally I have been supporting them for years, having never bought The Sun since those sad days. <ok>

There's talk of taking a banner or flag down to Anfield, should make for a special atmosphere for the first game of the season.

Reading some of the messages makes me proud to be a football fan. Liverpool and Man Utd fans united. Respect to the guy who made it <ok>

<applause> Great gesture. I'm sure it would bring great comfort to the families of the 96 that there are people who put aside footballing rivalry to get behind their cause.

Rivalries in football are massive, but sometimes all pulling together is much better.

There are even United fans backing this, which is class.

Well done the lads who kicked it off.

The ones who died were the good fans who got there on time and weren't pissed up. What happened that day was a tragedy and the sad thing was all the responsibility-dodging by ALL concerned. At least it made the clubs look hard at the state of their grounds and (a) bring them up to scratch (or move) and (b) got rid of those ridiculous fences. Wasn't a price worth paying for that, though...

I've just seen a FB page that are planning on taking a banner to Anfield for the opening game of the season.

Think it'll say on the banner "SAFC want justice for the 96"

I think it's a great idea and other clubs are following suit.

Will be proud to be apart of it.

Lot of affinity between our 2 clubs. It is good that things like this can still happen

Gave my support a few days ago.

Not sure if there is a legal time lapse on this BUT somebody should be held accountable. Not knocking the police who imo usually do a good job in difficult circumstances but from the day of the draw they got this particular event completely and utterly wrong. The planning & organisation was way below the standards expected.

Yeah, I remember watching a documentry about it on tv a long time ago. It was a total cock up right from the start. Manchester Utd fans started a FB page today, which just goes to show the depth of feeling on this.

Thanks for your support. We must not forget the 96 who went to the football one day and never came home.

It's a good gesture from your fans and I think every Liverpool fan will be grateful.

You're very welcome mate. I think the opening match of the season at your gaff is going to be a special day for both sets of fans. Rest assured that our lot will make their voices heard in support of your campaign for justice of the 96 fans that sadly lost their lives, supporting a team they loved.

Should have a banner with both Crests on it!
We should also remember Bradford, Ibrox and Heysel.
No football fan should die supporting the team they love, RIP to all who died in these tragedies.
