I get the distinct impression that the speed with which we're pushing this through means the decision to sell has come straight from the top from John Henry. Perhaps he's just had enough of the PR nuclear bomb? I can't see BR wanting to sell Suarez so hastily to be honest

if i understand you correctly, its a term used by posh ****s who like to look down on anyone who is poorer than them, so not necessarily, as a lot of people fall into the middle class category, which is what (no idea) earn between £35-90k?

Yeah, I think that too.
The press are trying to make out that Barca are calling the shots- as though they've deigned to take our troublesome child from us- but I don't think we'd even have spoken to them unless the owners had decided enough is enough.

Maybe Suarez put in a request as he knew Barca wanted him and Henry just thought, "you know what piss off then"

he requested to go to Arsenal and look where that ended up. The fact is we immediately sat down to negotiations with Barca, last year we would have batted them away immediately

He did say he wanted to but he never handed in a transfer request did he?
 
erm.. .a pleb comes form plebeian from the roman citizen who was not and "original" patrician roman citizen so you could be say from north of italy

bascially the 100 or so in power in the roman empire looked down on all others. eventually you ended up with such a big empire the plebeians accumulated just as much money and slaves as the others... but plebs couldn't be senators.

In short in russia they killed all the aristocrats and such set up a communist utopia where a new set of people form the great unwashed took all the money and power and looked down on the peasents...

You're all being too narrow in your definitions here. It's simply a literary synonym for pleb, or hoi-polloi, and means the common people.
Any modern attempt to create some sort of qualification based on specific income is just someone being a smartarse.

that wouldn't have made any sense to me though, Uruguay needed to win that match to stand a chance of qualifying, maybe what happened because of that match is what followed ie ideas put in his head regarding the bollocks that has gone on?

Haha, I wasn't referring to you, mate. Sorry if I gave that impression.
Someone said earlier that they'd heard or read some sort of income threshold that defines the term. I was just pointing out that it goes back much further than that and is just a derogatory term for the masses.

They needed to beat Italy as well

Imagine for one sec had it been V England. It would be all the media hate me and all that stuff, I cant play in this country it wouldve been the perfect excuse for him to do one in his eyes

But I dont think it was intentional as Suarez knows without him Uruguay are ****

what about the other way round and he gets one over the british media first by knocking england out and then can use that excuse about the british media hating him because he stuck 2 fingers up to them by knocking us out?, then because of how clinical he was in that match someone spoke in his ear?

get your point about him knowing they are **** without him, but they didn't look like going far anyway so maybe someone told him to cut his losses lol

i doubt it like you, just like a good conspiracy theory <laugh>
 
I seriously doubt that Suarez bit deliberately in order to engineer a move, no matter how much circumstantial evidence accumulates.
For a start, I don't think he's bright enough to think that many moves ahead, and anyway, he'd have had no way of knowing in advance that it would turn out this way.
Also, I don't think he'd have purposefully jeopardised his WC in that way.

No, he just can't help himself, that's all. Many people have such a strong desire to win that they'll do almost anything to achieve it. It's just that few over the age of three choose biting others as their modus operandi.

Maybe we'd have kept Suarez longer if that wouldve been imposed

Who's to say Madrid wouldnt have come in for him though
