I get the distinct impression that the speed with which we're pushing this through means the decision to sell has come straight from the top from John Henry. Perhaps he's just had enough of the PR nuclear bomb? I can't see BR wanting to sell Suarez so hastily to be honest

Yeah, I think that too.
The press are trying to make out that Barca are calling the shots- as though they've deigned to take our troublesome child from us- but I don't think we'd even have spoken to them unless the owners had decided enough is enough.

 

Maybe Suarez put in a request as he knew Barca wanted him and Henry just thought, "you know what piss off then"

erm.. .a pleb comes form plebeian from the roman citizen who was not and "original" patrician roman citizen so you could be say from north of italy

You're all being too narrow in your definitions here. It's simply a literary synonym for pleb, or hoi-polloi, and means the common people.
Any modern attempt to create some sort of qualification based on specific income is just someone being a smartarse.

I seriously doubt that Suarez bit deliberately in order to engineer a move, no matter how much circumstantial evidence accumulates.
For a start, I don't think he's bright enough to think that many moves ahead, and anyway, he'd have had no way of knowing in advance that it would turn out this way.
Also, I don't think he'd have purposefully jeopardised his WC in that way.

No, he just can't help himself, that's all. Many people have such a strong desire to win that they'll do almost anything to achieve it. It's just that few over the age of three choose biting others as their modus operandi.

 

He also had no idea of the severity of FIFA's punishment
