I visited there once, before rep was popular on the Southampton board, so I could get a lot in order to make people on here that I didn't like go into red rep.

Yeah that's the only thing I don't want - a red bar thingy. When other people have one you know they're trouble.

Huzzah! An arbitrary measure of acceptance amongst a group of faceless people I don't know :)

At the end of the day, what better form of acceptance is there? Except real ones I suppose.

Speaking of acceptance, where the devil has PTF got to? Is he having a self-imposed exile of sulking? Would be a shame, as the thing is, when he's not being difficult and argumentative, I actually find his thoughts and posts very good.

I thought this earlier. His last post was reacting to somebody (you, I think..!) about the "laying a trap" quote, but he's been visiting today by his last log on. If he could cut out the bullshit arguments that he finds himself stumbling into every single day without fail, then he'd be a really valuable member on here because his football opinions are often intelligent and well articulated.

My feelings exactly Dan. He was reacting to what I said, but what I said was pretty bang on the money as proven by precisely what happened. It's a shame he can't curb that part for long, as prior to that, for a couple of weeks, he had and was back to being very interesting and relevant.

Oh, that observation has really helped your forum relationship.

? Not sure what you're getting at there TSS - I'm trying to make the point that it's a shame he's exiled himself (or so it would seem).

Just tried to PM you TSS but your mailbox is full, but regardless it's not something I wouldn't say "out loud" to anyone here - so following message -

Sorry TSS, I was actually trying to be positive about PTF there, but I'm not going to pretend I don't find him difficult or argumentative. I do. As do the majority. However, I certainly wouldn't want him not to be here as his opinions are often very good. I'm not too sure why you seem to have taken offense there?

    I haven't taken offence.
Tsk, tsk, LTL. You really must learn not too be so sensitive. :)

By the way, not every single observation requires an emoticon, so posters tell me. Also, do you really think I'd make a serious personal criticism of your forum behaviour in public..? Of course not. I'd save that for a PM.

So the original message was a throwaway, just like my second sentence above. Only that one includes a little irony. Here's a smiley to make sure you realise all is well with the world. ;)

I'll clear some stuff out of my pathetically small inbox. Cheers for that.

Made some space in that pathetically small inbox.

Posters will note that I always call the PM messaging allocation pathetically small. When I was a poster on TSW we used to have a similar sized allocation. Fine. When I became a mod, the box went up to 50,000 slots. Very useful indeed. 5,000 would be nice. Even 500. It means that you could keep Very Important Details and PMs that you may otherwise forget. Not here, hence my description, which I will continue to use.

Fair enough! It was too subtle for me, I thought you may be waving your rod of fury! No need to PM you then!

Go on, have a PM. I enjoy reading PMs. It gives me the chance to refer to the pathetically small inbox again.

BTW, if you do, I will be out all day. I have to go off and actually do some work. :)

Well that was the only PM I had, and posted it above. I don't think I need to address anything privately with you? Unless you're just feeling lonely and would like a PM?

Hmm, too Star Wars-y for me. Never did like Star Wars, so no rod of fury waving by me. Don't think I do fury really. Would it be better if I did..? :)
