I read somewhere last night that SAF has asked Steve Bruce to enquire about the availablity of Danny Welbeck for another season on loan, once Man Utd have completed their pre season training. I don't know how true this is, but it sounds plausible to me. The question is, do we want loan players again? For me, the answer has to be no. Emergency loans in January when the team is shot to bits with injuries again? Yes.
I dont think any of us expect or ever expected a 20 million player. 10 million, maybe 15 million if we didn't spend much elsewhere (Which we have had to) would be our upper limit.

Exactly. To kick on we need a settled team full of players playing for the badge, not other teams players hoping they can go back and make a mark. I don't mind maybe Welbeck, as he was here last year and will bed in, and he clearly has a bit of love for the place when he talks, but as a general rule, i want us to be buying players, and if we sell the odd one, and bring in a few, that doesn't offend me. We have replaced Jordan with Gardner (it seems), and Larsson, with £15million still in the bank, that's not a selling club, that's a well run business.
