Not a big name, and yes he's a mag at the moment, but what is Leon Best like..Don't often watch their matches so hardly seen him, but Hughton is trying to take him to Brum. Is he ****e or not (not suggesting him, just curious to how good he is, pointless asking a mag)

    His stats look ok.
Republic of Ireland striker Best joined the Magpies from Coventry City in early 2010 and scored six goals in 11 Premier League appearances last season.

    Goal every other game?

My sentiments exactly BB, we have the cash spend it on our players not loan deals.

He's ****e mate, there was a hat-trick in there which falsifies the figures a bit, i'd be ****ing mortified if we even contemplated moving for this mug.

Niall Quinn did say that any major striker signing would happen in august.

From what it seems Bruce doesn't have that sort of money available to him in terms of a 20 mill player

I read somewhere last night that SAF has asked Steve Bruce to enquire about the availablity of Danny Welbeck for another season on loan, once Man Utd have completed their pre season training. I don't know how true this is, but it sounds plausible to me.

The question is, do we want loan players again? For me, the answer has to be no.

Emergency loans in January when the team is shot to bits with injuries again? Yes.

I dont think any of us expect or ever expected a 20 million player. 10 million, maybe 15 million if we didn't spend much elsewhere (Which we have had to) would be our upper limit.

I'd rather not sign a striker than get a cisse and I would probably burn my season ticket If we signed someone as poor as best, he is good at staying on the last man that is all

a loan is a better option if the club is confident in the 2 or 3 we have atm.means we can get in a class left winger and rb with whats in the kitty

    Exactly.

To kick on we need a settled team full of players playing for the badge, not other teams players hoping they can go back and make a mark.

I don't mind maybe Welbeck, as he was here last year and will bed in, and he clearly has a bit of love for the place when he talks, but as a general rule, i want us to be buying players, and if we sell the odd one, and bring in a few, that doesn't offend me.

We have replaced Jordan with Gardner (it seems), and Larsson, with £15million still in the bank, that's not a selling club, that's a well run business.

We will see a tackle now after cattermole is booked. My only problem is gardeners discipline means we probably will be looking at a fair few suspensions this season. Didn't gardener not miss 5 or 6 games through suspension

Think we will get Whickam AND Welbeck.
The cash is there. Just put proper bids in, no f*cking about and get them in.

That'd do me mate, then we just need a RB and Roger Johnson, and we're really looking strong.
