Mandzukic is apparently going back to Wolfsburg, so we're not going to get him. Our best bet would be Alexis Sanchez, and convert him into a striker
Me three, while some names are more exciting than others I'm willing to support whoever comes in as long as they do come in. I never see the point in trashing a signing before he's even kicked a ball for the club.
Although we can all agree we need a player who offers more efficiency upfront perhaps Wenger isn't after an out and out CF and maybe see's another WF as the way to improve the side. Giroud isn't a world class talent but his strength, height, workrate and hold up play makes him a good asset. Bringing in a World Class WF would make a big difference. (Sanchez or Di Maria would be my picks) For example.... -------------------Ozil------------------ -Walcottt------Giroud-------Sanchez- Sanchez scored 22 goals(15 assists) last Season and a fully fit Walcott gets around 20 goals. Giroud will also get 20-25. For me this is a very good forward line. Giroud holds up the play and Sanchez and Walcott exploit the gaps. (Much like Bayern played under Van Gaal)
I agree with that up to a point, but we still need another striker because Giroud can't play every game and Sanogo isn't yet of the required standard
Fixed. Don't let one game against a sub-par international team suddenly cloud your judgment. He is not good enough in the big games when it matters.
Well then we need clear out... We are going to have too many players fighting it out for a starting position. (and thus a crazy wage bill)
I can't help we're being wildly optimistic about us spending big. We all know this is us in the transfer market! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNQRqAoT-2c&feature=kp
Paul Scholes on Shaw: âA left-back worth £34m shows how silly the game has gone. For that I want a forward whoâs going to bag 30 a season.â ****s sake and they say City is ruining football And to think we have a better LB for free
I know it's early days, but Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool have all strengthened their squads for next season!!
Winning is overrated, now battling for 5th, that's where it's at next season! please log in to view this image
Yeah winning is overrated which is why we did this: please log in to view this image While Chavski, Pool and United won fack all.
Man Utd have to overpay for players this year, they can't offer European football and have already told the world they have £200m to spend, it will be a Summer of panic buying for them and they will hope that having bought 6-8 players that half of them are an immediate success. The footballing world are very aware that Rooney is on £300k a week, so agents and players know they can rape the arse off them, when they're back winning things players will be begging to go there (RVP)
I don't need you to fix my comments and don't be so naive to assume that I'm basing my judgement on one international game.
United have made 2 good signings now (Shaw a formality it seems), it's all silent down on our end.....
