Liverpool FC striker David Ngog wage demands delay Sunderland transfer by James Pearce, Liverpool Echo Jun 24 2011 ShareComments (99)Recommend (32) David Ngog DAVID NGOGâS proposed switch to Sunderland is being held up by the strikerâs wage demands. Liverpool are happy to sell the Frenchman for a fee of around £4million but the Black Cats have so far been unable to agree personal terms with him. The Wearside outfit insist they canât match the wages Ngog would earn if he remained at Anfield next season. And they are hoping the Reds will agree to drop the asking price for the 22-year-old to enable them to meet his demands. Ngog was initially expected to complete his move to Sunderland as part of the deal which saw Liverpool snap up midfielder Jordan Henderson earlier this month. However, with Ngog on holiday and keen to weigh up his options, the clubs agreed to conduct the transfers separately with Henderson signing for £16million. Ngog, who cost Liverpool £1.4million from Paris St Germain three years ago, has scored 19 goals in 94 appearances. But he is now surplus to requirements at Anfield with boss Kenny Dalglish keen to bring in Ipswich striker Connor Wickham to provide competition for first choice duo Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll. Are we being done over again, in yesterdays Star, cheeky french git wanted loyalty bonus, so how about judas, how much loyalty bonus did he aquire? PLEASE Steve Bruce join my poker club, your money is better in my pocket.
Forget him. Leave him in their reserves, he's obviously not keen (if the papers are correct of course)
dont mean to be rude but why sign him when it says kenny wants connor wickham why dont you sign connor and leave the liverpool with ngog if kenny wants him over ngog then why are you going for ngog
wouldnt buying ngog free up a squad place at liverpool enabling them to fit wickham in bad idea ngog is **** wickham sturridge or welbeck for me and surrley to goodness jonny evens over wes brown so come on bruce give yer self a bloody shake and pull ya finger oot and get things done
well just offer him first team football an interesting thing about wickham is he has a younger brother (9 years old i think) and he comes home and plays with him on the xbox and football outside people forget how young he is and his first salery he went to the manager and asked if he had got the numbers right because he couldnt belive how much it was
You've raised a very good point there mate, never thought of that. Bruce taking N'Gog from Liverpool will play straight into their hands with the Connor Wickham tug-of-war, unless SB insists on an agreement with Liverpool that they will not bid for Wickham if we sign N'Gog I also agree about Evans v Brown, but sadly I don't think Evans will be leaving Old Trafford. Brown certainly will...
I don`t want to see Wes Brown here. I would rather have Wickham than NGog. Liverpool now have apolicy of signing young English players with international potential and Wickham fits the bill. I would love to see him at SAFC.
Wickham doesn't want to come here if a move to LFC is on the cards, though. If canning the N'gog deal improves our chances with Wickham, then do it!
