They don't know anything about Ghana so they just use a picture of a giraffe. Giraffes don't live in Ghana.
 
What's the match thread protocol for tomorrow? Can I suggest two threads rather than four - a joint thread for Group A's Brazil/Cameroon and Croatia/Mexico, and a joint thread for Group B's Australia/Spain and Chile/Netherlands? As the games are on at the same time it makes sense for discussion to be linked, right?

You'd think they might at least look it up.

at least it's the right land mass. the west african giraffe's range is only one or two borders away.

plenty to choose from though. elephant, meerkat, manatee.

Meerkat would be a good choice. Elephant is kind of Cote d'Ivoire's thing.
