No one is denying the existence of institutional racism though...people are disagreeing that ashley cole has been treated in a racist manner by not being part of the england squad
right about racism at the FA? Watching Leighton Baines last night, I am beginning to believe there is an element of truth in Sol's assertion. Otherwise why would you leave one the best left backs in the world at home.... In Ashley Cole you have a defender who would probably get into the top 10 sides in World Football. It cannot be down to age as you have quite a number of players who are much older than him in the team.

the last line was simply a joke mate...hence the laugh...
and it was hodgson who chose not to take cole not the fa

maybe an england manager has simply made a decision you don't agree with...no more no less.
remember capello taking a 17 yr old walcott to world cup when he had not played a single minute football for arsenal...and then didn't play him?
there has been and will be decisions that people don't agree with in every world cup / euro squad ... but I am at a loss to understand why you think there is a conspiracy against cole.
For years England have taken players based on reputation so they take players who are clearly injured rather than fit players (Beckham; Rooney; Owen) ... England fans
were very critical of this, if they had taken cole (who has played just 6 matches since Jan for chelsea) this trend would have simply been continued.
As for cole being disposed of...he has 107 caps and this england manager has decided (rightly or wrongly) to look to the future and chose alternatives...this happens to every international at some point. I have no idea how this is a race issue as you have offered no reason other than a vague "he is a victim of whatever political agenda the FA thought was necessary to ensure his retirement from international football."
If you're English, i bet you're wishing the FA was racist now, just so Welbeck never gets picked again...
I can see how you are trying to simplify the situation Colin, maybe that's just how it is type attitude is always a safe bet to avoid any unearthing of something rotten in the ranks' I tend to analyse situations I see as odd. The truth is it's not odd to you because our view points are different. Nothing wrong with that. As for evidence you ask to prove Coles exclusion is down to race is really a waste of time because we both know that can't be proven and that is the beauty/ugliness of it all (delete where necessary)

You can't really say the FA is racist. I mean Welbeck is in the squad and he's ****.
If he was dropped by Chelsea for any reason, it would be because he's a distraction. Are you now accusing Jose Mourinho (the guy who signs tons of black players) of being a racist? And i thought i was a moron.
So did Ron Atkinson...
If somebody calls someone a ****ing ****** then to my mind he's a racist. If you weren't a racist you wouldn't make racist remarks.Ron Atkinson isnt racist either.
There's a world of difference between making a racist remark and having racist beliefs.
If you look at the demographics in England, and I'm the UK, a vast majority of the population (going by numbers I looked up but the latest they had were from 2011) is white. So if a vast majority of the FA board is white that doesn't exactly scream racism to me. Now if say the vast majority of the Nigerian Football Association were white then there'd be a problemLol come on Ox how many members of the FA are even of ethnic minoritiy? The FA is not the most racially diverse organisation in the world so there is certainly something not right there. The sport it governs is most racially diverse in the world as are the fans so I am not sure why the FA board does not reflect that.
