WTF are you on about? are you actually serious or you joking?

So thats a valid reason not to have a diverse board on the FA? Because most of the UK is white!?

thats a seriously skewed way of looking at things.

The reason why England will never do well is because there is no solidarity between anyone of different race in this country. You could pour a billion pounds into grass roots football but until the mentality of the nation changes we will never ever have a world cup winning side.

There is no 'I will fight for my English brother' on the pitch becuase the society we live in encourages disparity. English Football is in such a mess it's actually a joke.

It's not about the talent it's about the relationship we have between each other. There is no doubt we have a squad of talented individuals but if they dont want to fight for one another then it makes them null and void as a team. The real countries within England are Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and
    Man United.

No one gives a toss about England so why should the players!?
They will always be hero's within their respective clubs no matter how they perform for their country!

I'm halfway through my European travels and thought I'd check in to see how the forum is going. I had no intention of posting anything but this thread is too ridiculous.

Some absolutely ******ed opinions in here.

Shaw is the future baines has had a better season. Cole has been inconsistent prior to being dropped for Chelsea. He's still a quality player but he's past his best and I was perfectly happy with his exclusion from the team as are most people I know. Nothing to do with colour. It is one of the easiest decisions to show reasons for, not playing regularly enough, other good options in his position etc..

What kind of idiot sees that situation (especially considering how many non white players are in the squad and starting team, including Johnson who is **** and always has been for England) and decides it must be because he is black? Completely ridiculous and comments like that belittle real racism issues. Get over yourselves guys.

Glad to see the vast majority of posters see this is total nonsense.

I couldn't disagree more. People often say things they go on to regret, or say things knowing they will get a reaction. It doesn't mean that's there view.

I like threads like this because people really show their true colours.

Who said Shaw is the future? You or the press?

Also I don't need to get over myself. I have made a point if you don't like it fine. There is nothing to get over. Also some posters think there is some truth in this thread others don't. Just because you don't see the other point of view it doesn't make it ******ed in the same way your view is not ******ed. This is the problem when you discuss race issues. One side has to be ******ed and the other is clearly very clever and can see the whole picture. Which side that is depends on your point of view.

I partially agree with afcftw for once.

Most insults aren't true and the person saying them doesn't agree with them... they just say them because they know it will offend the person they're telling the insult too.

If I call my colleague a stupid pr!ck then it's because I know he will get upset by those words. But I know that he's neither actually stupid or a giant penis.

However, separating out those who believe their racist insults to those that are just using them to cause offence (however silly and unintelligent this is) is nigh on impossible.

I don't know about you but calling someone a "****ing lazy thick ******" is to me racist behaviour.Ron Atkinson did not say this to get a reaction because he said it when he thought the microphone was turned off.

I have had this debate before it isn't the word as much as the intent. I have used the n word with friends (who are black) and friends who aren't Indian have used racial slurs against me - and I have no issue. Its how and when it is used. The Ron Atkinson incident is racist for the reasons you have given. But the words don't make a racist always. Its the intent and context for me.
