I love that people are basing their judgement of Costa on 2 games in a World Cup for a team who don't utilise him the way he should be.
AND just a few weeks after a bad injury. Classic British attitude.

Never mind Drogs, they will all be eating their words by Christmas![]()

Ha Ha ok.
Bookmarked.
Out of interest, and my opinion of him isn't just based on these two games by the way I've seen him play for Atletico plenty, what exactly gives you such conviction?
If we/I can base my judgement on watching him, why are you so convinced he won't flop? I'm genuinely wanting a discussion here.

Well you must've been watching him during the period he had his injury becuase I don't see how you could think he was **** last season. Without him, Atletico don't win the title.
I also disagree with these one season wonder comments. He's been very good for the past two seasons and although he's still a massive cock, he has matured. Season before last he was played around Falcao, meaning he wasn't Atleti's striker and he was still brilliant. Last season he was given his opportunity and took it with both hands.
This is not me saying he will be a success with Chelsea, far from it. Like you I will be the first to eat my words if he turns out to be awful. But we can only go on what we've seen over the past couple of seasons, and that is a very lethal striker.
The bit in bold is a good comment, and I agree with you. Time will tell, seems a bit one dimensional to me but he could fit in perfectly at Chelsea and be the missing link.
Back to the bit in bold though. This can be applied to Rooney.
Without Rooney's goals England don't get to the world cup, yet that hasn't stopped a vast swathe of the football watching population accusing him of being **** and not good enough.
Funny old game, eh?

Costa will not score many for chelsea.
drogba did not score many for a number of years. He wasnt a goal machine.
Without lampard to be smashing in deflections, where exactly are your goals coming from? Not Torres thats for sure.
hazard would be the main guy I suspect, but will he stay?
Its based on his other 5 seasons of being ****.
1 good season 5 ****e seasons.
Hes also looked like one of the worst players in the world cup and he turned down Brazil due to their striker force of erm.... Fred and Jo......
