Go live up to your promise and **** off please. Make it a done deal. Isn't it funny how it wasn't old when you used it a few pages ago? More double standards.
Irvine has said rather more than he might make a move for him at some point - "Joleon has said he'd be more than happy to work with me again. I believe negotiations are going very well at this particular moment. Hopefully we're able to meet Joleon's demands. It's the sort of calibre of player we want to bring in."
Phil Buck has tweeted that we haven't given up yet. Think it's starting to feel rather futile though, personally.
Well obviously as time moves on and things change. In fact i am now happy for Wba to take Lescott. We only want and need 100% commited players to Hull City.
But was Lescott ever worth £24m ? imo Nope. Just that Mark Hughes/Man City wasted that much to get him out of Everton. Very true. Many wont think about that at all. I have not read or seen anything from Alan Irvine other than what i posted. But it is not rocket science to know that Wba have to move quickly to get him. If Lescott goes to the Baggies then so be it. He is going back to his roots.
Sure sounds like it wont happen now. Always seemed like he would go somewhere else anyway with his agent being the one who most likely leaked our offer.
I just dont see how Wba will be paying Lescott more than we would quite frankly. I think it has more to do with Lescott going back to his roots. imo.
I dont mean money necessarily just that if Lescott really wanted to come here his agent wouldnt have leaked the deal. The leaking implies that he wanted a better offer, better could mean money or like you said some other reason.
although I'm disappointed that this deal looks like a non-runner as we speak, I'm sure Steve Bruce will have a plan B, and we move on, still think we will be more than happy with some of the new recruits, to be fair to wba they done a good bit of business , Lescott you can't blame him wanting to go back to his roots and to be fair to him it looks like money wasn't the driving force, bit like Nick barmby when he came back to his roots, one thing you can be sure supporting city is "its never dull"utt.
His agent does what he wants not the other way around. It isnt a Campbell or Ince situation where it is his dad. If he wants his agent to be an Asshole he picks an Asshole. If he wants his agent to get him a specific type of deal his agent does that. Lets not be naive enough to think that his agent leaked it without him knowing he was going to do whatever it took to get the deal he wanted.
Oh no. But why even consider a medical here in Hull this early ? But as we have both said, Lescott going home to his roots is fine. Not the first and wont be the last.
There looks to be two conflicting statements. Hull City wise we have agreed on most of the terms and its just the nitty gritty left. WBA are saying that they hope to be able to meet Lescotts terms. Sounds to me that it isn't cut and dried from any side. We must be still front runners money wise, but maybe not personal wise.
