Do they really report the abuse that Cameron et al get every day?

It's not really relevant to the independence debate. If the media down England were only reporting online abuse against Cameron and ignoring the same abuse being aimed at Miliband would that be fair?

We have the press up here going on and on about evil cybernats etc. yet not a word said about the abuse aimed towards yes campaigners. And that includes the BBC and STV.

Bullshit.

Go away and argue with someone on your own intellectual level. I suggest newgod <ok>

Yes they are Dan. The difference is when it happens to them it's front page news on the likes of the Daily Record and top of the bulletin on BBC Scotland news. When it happens to Salmond, Sturgeon and others involved in the Yes campaign there's nowt.

I know high profile people involved in the Yes campaign that are getting abused on a near daily basis and it's only through places like Twitter and Facebook that it gets out there. The mainstream media, including supposedly neutral broadcasters like BBC and STV, are guilty of only showing one side of the abuse.

**** off you boring xenophobis fascist ****.

I deserved that for not phrasing the question correctly - is all abuse directed at senior politicians from the No campaign in connection with Scottish Independence reported? I think it's impossible to quantify it. If I call Salmond a **** then everyone's going to assume it's a chippy Nigel having a go at the campaign rather than perhaps being anmnoyd at criticism of the union and by extension pople who are not Scottish (I know you'll probably scorn at that but it is genuinely how a lot of pople feel down here). If you call Cameron a **** it could be for a million and one reasons - and i'd probably agree wth them but you might be calling him that purely as a nationalist.

Regardless, I ain't going any further into this as i won't win but, as i said to Dev, the no mob are chucking it away anyway. When i win on a bet i usually reinevst a bit on long term things like races in Septemeber or football for the season. Over the last 3 months I've been topping up on a yes vote as i think it's going top haoppn and it's as much (actually probably lots more) to do with Better Together as the Yes vote

Don't underestimate the amount of groundwork that's going on. Yes has thousands of volunteers on stalls, knocking on doors, going to meetings etc. Better Together are having to hire staff in England to make phone calls and send letters.

I don't undersstimate it and I'm not surprised at all - people who believe in changing the status quo on anything are always likely to have more passionate supporters that get off their arses than those who want to keep things as they are. But even so the continual negative patronising ****e coming out of Whitehall and national boradcasters and press is worth its weight in gold

Didn't read, Dan = more boring than Mike.

I must say though, most of the Yes voters on my Facebook are wishy washy 'life is not fair' crying ****s. I just happen to be on the same side as them, for my own reasons.
