Should Scotland be an Independent Country?

  • Yes

  • No

Results are only viewable after voting.
I'll be honest for a change, one is as bad as the other.

We are going to reach a momentous decision based on ignorance and scaremongering by both sides.

Whatever happens Scotland is going to be a bitterly divided country independence or not. Especially when the lies and hypocrisy on both sides are laid bare.

The only loser in this vote will be the people that reside in Scotland.

The end justifies the means politics for the idiotic masses of sheep.

Aye, but for the civilised bits of Scotland outside Aberdeen, it'll be rooting tooting.

Being serious here: is it really?

I'm sure the Nats have made a few outlandish claims but has there been anything as idiotic as BT have come out with? Plus, you've got the majority of the UK media behind the No campaign and they repeat and expand on these claims from BT.

It's astonishing that the Yes vote is increasing given the scare stories peddled by BT and the likes of the Record and Scotsman every day.

There ye go tarring the nation wea yer ain brush .

And if it wisne for the masses of sheep you wouldn't have had a shag since 1983 .

It's absolutely vile reagrdless of your politics - you're always very even handed so I'm guessing none of the No campaign are getting similar treatment as you would have posted that as well.

I think that's the point Dan, the abuse has been flying around for ages from both sides and it's abhorrent. The Weirs who donated a Million to the Yes campaign got as much abuse as JK Rowling but by and large it was ignored, now we have a Police investigation being launched into the Rowling abuse which is all well and good and correct, but why is she a special case?

The media are biased and their focus on Rowling and the young Mother who got trolled is evidence.

I don't disagree Dev - they're definitely biased and it's not a clever tactic as we all know what you lot are like when backed into a corner <laugh> In all seriousness though the abuse is outrageous.

Yes they are Dan. The difference is when it happens to them it's front page news on the likes of the Daily Record and top of the bulletin on BBC Scotland news. When it happens to Salmond, Sturgeon and others involved in the Yes campaign there's nowt.

I know high profile people involved in the Yes campaign that are getting abused on a near daily basis and it's only through places like Twitter and Facebook that it gets out there. The mainstream media, including supposedly neutral broadcasters like BBC and STV, are guilty of only showing one side of the abuse.

Do they really report the abuse that Cameron et al get every day?
