Southampton have gone for Ronald Koeman. English managers are just not fashionable these days. We should be thankful for that.

His brother Erwin is his No.2 reports suggest.

Hi guys really rate Bruce but I think Ron is the man for us. Letd hope we both prosper next season.

Expect of us both to be mid table next season. 9th and 10th eh ??

He'll be off like a shot and good luck to him, he deserves better then having to deal with a meddling ****wit of an owner whos clearly going to attempt to derail another season with his deranged tiger bullshit.

We survived by the skin of our teeth in spite of allam this season, Bruce knows it'll be even tougher next season.

He'd be well advised to get as far away from this circus as possible.

What utter ****e you come out with constantly.

“There was never any intention for me to move on. I’ve said it from day one that I’m perfectly happy here.

“I’m one of the fortunate ones. The people who employ me let me manage and that is vitally important for me.”

Two years have passed since Bruce was persuaded to join City by owner Assem Allam and tasked with guiding the club out of the Championship during his initial three-year deal.

Bruce managed that inside 12 months and within another year he had ensured the Premier League adventure will continue.

Only during his time with Birmingham between 2001 and 2007 has Bruce taken charge of more games at any one club than the 101 here with City and all things point towards that tally growing again in 2014-15.

“I’ve said it several times how grateful I am to the owners here,” said Bruce, who now operates on a one-year rolling contract with City. “They trust me to do my job and that’s not something you can take for granted in football.

“They’ve given me nothing but support during my time here and backed me financially whenever I’ve asked. This summer has been no different. I’ve asked for players and they’ve delivered.”
