Just back in from watching the game but no national anthems were sung before it,could not work out why, anyone know?

Figgy played, but like the rest was poor, he gave away the foul that led to the 3rd French goal. Wilson Palacios sent off, second yellow for a foul that was a penalty

It's got to be said, Figueroa's having an excellent game

Best he's had in a while.

Indeed... and then he absolutely hacked Valbuena down in the build up for the French's 3rd goal!

Decent game for Figgy, they were completely outclassed and Pogba should probably have been sent off, but they'd have lost anyway.

Figgy had a good game, but was backs to the wall for most of the game.

Were we all watching a different game?

Keown and Pearce on commentary were generally complimentary, except when he was joining in with the hacking!

Everyone hates the French national anthem - so much they refused to play it!

I think most people know the French national anthem anyway, no need to hear it yet again.

They should get someone like Will.I.Am or that **** with the horrible teeth who won X Factor to lay some beats over it.

To fink if they’d won 1066 we’d be all speaking French now.

Let's face it, every national anthem apart from the English one, is ****. They should start every game, regardless of nationality, with God Save the Queen.

Never mentioned the fact he's a hull city player though, unless I missed it.

Biased bastards.

You must have missed the 3 or 4 times they mentioned Hull.

Best game I've seen Figgy play and against top opposition as well. He played as the left-sided centre half for those that didn't see the game.

Honduras player ratings vs France - Hull defender shines in defeat

Noel Valladares 7 - The veteran goalkeeper did concede three, but he made some excellent stops to limit the damage. Unfortunate with the own-goal.

Brayan Beckeles 6 - Made some important tackles but was ultimately outclassed by the French attack.

Victor Bernardez 7 - The powerful centre-back battled well and was almost stretchered off twice in the first half, but he fought through for his side. They were defensively better when he was in there.

Maynor Figueroa 8 - Best player on the pitch for Honduras and was excellent at the back. The Hull City defender needs better defenders around him for La Bicolor to keep clean sheets.

Emilio Izaguirre 5 - The Celtic left-back was poor, and didn't offer his usual threat going forward. Left his foot in late on a couple of occasions.

Andy Najar 5 - Didn't see enough of the ball and was poor with his delivery into the box when he had the opportunity.

Luis Garrido 5 - Was lost in the middle of the park and couldn't get near the likes of Cabaye and Pogba. Another who resulted to violent tackles late on.

Wilson Palacios 3 - The Stoke midfielder let his nation down after picking up a second yellow on the stroke of halftime for a needless push. Was lucky not to have seen red for earlier stamp on Pogba and his absence cost Honduras the game.

Roger Espinoza 6 - Worked hard and tried to start some attacking moves but was not supported anywhere near enough.

Carlo Costly 5 - Failed to make any mark on the game and was kept quiet by Mamadou Sakho.

Jerry Bengtson 5 - Also struggled to see much of the ball and was pulled off at halftime.

Substitutes

Oscar Boniek Garcia 6 - Injected some energy but could have done better with a good opportunity in the second-half.

Osman Chavez 5 - Poor at the heart of defence and looked out of his depth trying to handle Karim Benzema after coming on at halftime.

Jorge Claros 5 - Brought on to shore up the midfield but was another spectator who failed to stop France from dominating in the middle of the park.

Remember, the whole of Jonathan Pearce's head needs to cross the line for him to have any clue what's going on.
