I've gone from resignation, to acceptance, to looking forward to his appointment. Is this the Southampton Way of making me accept less or am I finally realising the brilliance and potential of Ronald. Will he be Ronald MacDonald or Ronaldo..? Let's hope it's the latter.

More experienced than Alan Irvine, and he is only going to be number two. Would imagine we would need another coach as well though?

To be fair the resources they had at the time were, um, limited. But it was dire stuff much of the time. When you're hoping Bradley Wright Phillips will provide the quality moments in a game you know the brown stuff is fan bound. Just wish there was an official announcement. Koeman Brothers to Southampton The younger of the two, Ronald (51) is the head coach, the eldest, Erwin (52) is next to him on the couch and full assist him in training. All this talk of Ronald bringing his older brother had me assuming there was some massive difference in years, and that Erwin was some sort of sage character, with massive experience and wisdom. Turns out he's a year older.
